He doesnt know anything about the current situation trust meOriginally posted by NigelLG View PostHe works for the BBC right? He does speak like he knows something, yet might be pure bollocks.

None of this fills me with optimism tbh, Comolli doesn't, NESV doesn't, Hodgson sure as hell doesn't and this season continues to be a travesty. They can't keep him on, he might relegate us FFS and then I'm 100% sure that their right man will not come on board anyway.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Sometimes I overdo it on purpose and you all fall for it.Originally posted by Kenneth View Post

No mention of Rafa. Congratulations, your rehabilitation is complete.
Joking aside, I'd love Rafa to come back but we need a clean slate. We've missed that boat and now we should move on. Deschamps would be an excellent appointment IMO. If he can overcome the language barrier (though he's showed by playing and living in Italy for a long time) he'll be a success. Now, if he's indeed a serious candidate we'll have to ask how our fans will react to a frenchman at the helm, the last one wasn't a roaring success. Are we winning?

For the KOPTALK Gold membership wannabeHere ya go, from the big man himself apparently:Originally posted by Dutte View PostWhere is the 'like' button?
'The football people at the club are ready to sack Hodgson. Everything is in place. They are all briefed, they all know what to say, the press office have all the statements prepared.
The owners have made the decisions to sack Roy, despite what the media are reporting, but they have not authorised this course of action yet.
The 'football people' expected the owners to give them the go ahead this morning but it has not come. People at the club are shaking their heads as to what the owners are doing, this is why you are seeing claims on Sky Sports from sources saying the owners have not made a decision about the manager. I can guarantee this as I know who the source is.
The general feeling is that the club can manage until the summer without a full time appointment if the owners choose to go down that route.
There is growing frustration at the pace of things.
Purslow isn't helping as a "football adviser". In my opinion he has to go too.
A 10 second phone call is all that is needed to kick it all off.'

Agree with everything but retain serious doubts about Deschamps. Gut feeling just tells me his not right for this club.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostNone of this fills me with optimism tbh, Comolli doesn't, NESV doesn't, Hodgson sure as hell doesn't and this season continues to be a travesty. I don't think the being French thing is an issue. As you said, he has the playing pedigree, he's young and could build a long term legacy if it works out. I very happy about the idea.

Actually, I feel the same way, somehow I just feel he is not the answer, then again, maybe the owners have someone else lined up. But things just don't feel right.Originally posted by Tee View PostAgree with everything but retain serious doubts about Deschamps. He doesn't like pink though apparently
The coach of Juventus, Didier Deschamps, the French, apologized Monday after what he called "a clumsy joke" about gays made Saturday after the game that his club was playing at Arezzo.
At the end of the match, all players had donned a pink shirt to celebrate the return to Serie A with Juventus, but not the French technician.
Then, it was reported on jokingly: "This color does not appeal to me because in France it is the color of gays."Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Have to say, was pretty clueless about football journos in the run up to all this hodgson saga.
Only bit i paid attention to was a piece Barclay did year before last about Liverpool being Rafas new machiand how they would win the league.
Now, the only one i think has been decent is henry winter, probably because he purports to have ties with kenny.
Like his tweets anyway....
As for Barclay, he is a WUM.

I would take Deschamps anytime. And if we do get him it means we missed relegation and we are not hunting Kevin blackwell or Mickey Adams.Originally posted by Tee View PostAgree with everything but retain serious doubts about Deschamps. Gut feeling just tells me his not right for this club.
