Clearly, espcially as they were saying with that team we should have been higher than 7th, but now they say what do we expect with such an average team....and it's not Roy's fault...blame it on Rafa..

This isn't about Rafa for me he is gone and we need to move on, Hodgson has to go end of story and anyone citing it's not 'The Liverpool Way' to get rid of a manager this early is a deluded idiot.
He's bought bad players (Konchescky and Poulson) and is managing to alienate more people and players by the day with his mad ramblings and statements in the press.

The only question you need to ask yourself is this - if this were Rafa's 1st season or if we had employed another foreign coach in the summer do you think they would have such and easy ride with our league position, knocked out of a cup by a 4th div team and the actual style of football on show????
      Absolutely no ****ing chance.

All journo's are hypocricital ******s foolowing their own agenda and the sooner everyone in this country realises that and stops buying newspapers the sooner they'll all disappear

      *Except Michael, who died.

The fact that opposition fans are queuing up to get his autograph says a lot, unfortunately the deluded idiot probably thinks its out of some respect.

at what point does it stop being rafa'a fault and start being roys with the media.

          Probably never!

If and when we get rid of Roy, we get a new manager in and we start to move towards near the top end of the table - "it'll be well with these group of players this is the least they should be expecting to acheive, really they are under performing like under Rafa"

Roy's tenure will be forgotten by them or remembered as an impossible job to undertake after rafa.

            - i said similar when we appointed him....he can't fail, however good we did (say 7th placed or better) it owuld have been a marvellous achievement by hodgson to steady the ship,. any worse it would be because of rafa ****ing up the squad or the ownership issues

My problem with hodgson, or maybe not hodgson but the people jumping to defend (mainly media and rival fans) is - i knew he was going to struggle, i knew he was going to have a tough time, what with the ownership issues, lack of funds, average squad - on top of that a really difficult opening games...

So i wasn't expecting him to come in and win every game - i was expecting though, to see some positives, some sign of change and stability, and i thought we'd be okish - mediocre - probably sitting somwhere between 5th at best and 15th at worst but signs it could change.......my worry about hodgson was, had he come in and done that - some would still be saying hmmm - it's not good enough.

But what has actually happened in reality is just worse than anyone could have predicted! 19th after 8 league games, with not one positive on the pitch to shout about.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Even a Manc might of mine who is an absolute ******* when it comes to football said that we can't fire Roy because he is English and that we probably won't be able to until Christmas.

Not sure he's right there - these guys NESV will not risk such a huge investment down to what the press say - not saying Roy will be gone tomorrow but if they feel there is a concern about our on field performance they'll change it quickly

I read a short article on the back page of the Racing Post today, saying more or less that Hodgson's ****ed up and should go. It was written in thoughtful, analytical language and is the first media pronouncement I've seen that has actually pointed the blame where it lies - Hodgson's baffling defensive tactics etc

I know I was thinking we'd be about 8th or 9th about now, wouldn't have been happy but accepting of it a little more due to the turmoil in the boardroom.

That has turned out to be a complete pipedream, we've got less points than games played after 8 games, almost a quarter of the PL season gone and we're in 19th position - it's a complete and utter disaster in terms of Roys tenure so far and something that cannot continue for much longer.

Best paper going for every other sport apart from Racing, and by that I mean it is neutral and hasn't got any agendas because it's a specialist publication.
Sure it's good for racing as well

Sorry, no idea where to put this but SSN just showed Gray and Keys pratting about on the plastic grass on their lame Monday Night Football chat. Pointless idiocy.

As for Gray's earlier comments about Torres, he can f*ck off.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I saw that and was going to post about it

It was like something off the Day Today or something Partridge would do. Gray jockeyed Keys into a position on the tiny piece of plastic grass and put the ball at Keys' feet. Keys stood there like an absolute goon with his hands in his pockets and almost bracing himself for a Gray tackle. Except Gray just stood there and talked about making tackles rather than lunging into a two-footed horror challenge. A pity, and so, so pointless

I only saw the end of his 'analysis' but basically he said Torres isn't working hard enough. I don't know if he mentioned the fact that Torres is about 50m away from the nearest player in a red shirt.
