A new Board/Executive Management Team. This is really NESV's priority. I imagine this is what they are doing now. They probably already had the relevant expertise to hand when they bought the Red Sox, and their team would have been installed quick enough to be able to make an educated decision about the incumbent coach; and hence he was gone within 8 days.
I don't know how prepared NESV were for buying a football club. They need a management team at least some of whom have experience in football. They reportedly like their stats, so they need to sit down, collate their data and crucially temper the hard numbers with some qualitative football knowledge.
With this information they need to find managerial candidates. Last time we were in the hunt for a manager, our circumstances were dire and our prospects were dismal. Hardly anyone wanted it. Now the Liverpool post is now a choice position with a future. Potentially, we don't just have a choice of candidates that happen to be out of a job presently, but perhaps also ones that are currently employed.
The time it will take to run through this process is the time that Hodgson has left. I think they will be fast tracking this, but it will still take a week or two minimum. So perhaps, thinking about it, unless our performances dip further (is this possible?), Hodgson may have longer than I thought to get our act together.
Stadium. It's a romantic notion to redevelop Anfield, but realistically, the footprint is limited, capacity can't be easily increased, it would mean going a season or two with reduced capacity. For me it's a no brainer. It has to be a new stadium.
Hicks may have been an all time tosspot, but the principle objectives that gave rise to his proposed stadium design were mostly sound. I don't think I could stomach seeing that actual stadium built though. But instead coming up with a design with a potential capacity between 70 and 80 thousand, built around a steep and large as possible Kop, designed to focus and concentrate the sound is the way to go.

- so for instance - i'd sign a top class left back and keep konchesky as back up - until you get a top dominating centre half then yeah keep kyriakos/skrtel to battle that out etc
