      Fourteen...
And if we were to pull up Johnsons previous 14 games and compare them to Kelly's, I think you'll find Kelly has been outperforming him as a defender. Its not about how many you've played. Its about whos actually performing well on the pitch. Right now its Kelly by a country mile. Why break the balance and put Johnson back on in the hopes he can find form when Kelly is already doing an excellent job. He needs experience, and if his confidence and performance levels are as high as they are at the moment then it makes perfect sense to let him get some experience.

If you were to put both of these players on the field right now and asked someone who didnt know either of them who they would choose first, I'm very sure they'd point to Kelly.

So we're going by this season, where everyone's basically been **** - and ignoring Johnson's previous campaigns...

        We're judging him on 14 games....good idea.

In other news, Wayne Rooney is obviously ****. And so is Torres, because he hasnt been all that great for the last 14 games, barring maybe 2 or 3.

Right now its Kelly by a country mile. Why break the balance and put Johnson back on in the hopes he can find form when Kelly is already doing an excellent job.

You didnt say 'right now' though, in the previous post. You didnt mention form, you just said Kelly > Johnson. It's absurd really, the kid's played a handful of games and at this stage, is merely a great prospect, who hasnt proved anything. And apparently, he is better than an established international....

I figured you'd understand that I was talking about right now. If someones not performing you bench them and put someone else on. Torres isnt playing ****. He's getting **** service from our very crap midfield, which I'm sure you would also admit to being crap. Problem is we dont have better replacements. In our right back role we do, and Kelly is doing better then our first choice player. So you have a choice of play 10 players who arent performing or play 9 players who arent performing and 1 who is.

Practically every time we've played Kelly he's never disappointed. That should show he's a great player despite his experience. Thats the sort of player you KEEP and USE because they're obviously quality.

That's fine, on form, Kelly warrants his place, no argument.

Another performance from Glen tonight that showed he should be playing further up the pitch.

The lad could save us an absolute fortune on a winger, and it would be much cheaper buying a solid RB.

He may well prove his price tag yet if someone pushes him to RW.

                        Good point.

But sign a quality RW and we have two players who can cause damage on the right as opposed to one - options......
                        Forwards.......

That's true. I don't think our centre backs are cut out for the full backs to be bombing on though, and Glen has been prone to quite a few defensive mistakes.

Our current centre backs, maybe not. But you have to have a vision when building a team. Every top team has at least one full back capable of bombing on and being an attacking threat.

Problem with LFC is that they know where the problem is coming from at the moment. Double mark Glen, don't need to worry about the RM as Kuyt can't dribble or run fast.

Agreed. Kuyt is being horrible misused at the minute, he's just not a right midfielder. It works a 4231/433 etc but never in a 442.

I thought his positional sense was good when he was on, which is very important in considering his value in a changed formation. Sure he had a horrible game, but if he was to play well it wouldn't be as horrible as some are making it out to be.
