Did you watch 'a year in the life of Steven Gerrard' on Sky One about 4 years ago?(think it was recorded during 2006?) His agent even admitted Gerrard can be a bit of an odd ball at times, moody fella and difficult to work out.

    Suppose no-one's perfect.
Was that the one which was basically half an hour of him washing his hands?

It was indeed, and his funny mate, can't remember his name.

I can't believe that was 4 years ago now it was actually screened just after the FA Cup(the Gerrard final as they call it) and before the 2006 World Cup. Where does time go

Running, tackling, set pieces, goals in the box, goals outside the box, goals from other stadiums and even using his head.

              Fantastic player, Liverpool legend etc....

The problem will always be his attitude. He can suddenly decide not to give a **** and that means that he will never rival players like Dalglish, Fowler, Barnes etc...in legendary status.

He will have to earn my respect back after what happened last season. He isn't that great Captain and that have hurt us sometimes.

Greatest Liverpool player I have ever seen.

Granted I was a youngster when Kenny was in his pomp and my memories of him may not be so clear but Stevie is the greatest IMO.

hi is in no way better than Kenny,

Kenny was very special indeed. Its no criticism of him to say that as in his own right he is a fantastic player and will go down as one of the best to ever play for our club, i cant see him making the best though.

Best English player of his generation - simply awesome

Best player for LFC ? He's up there but the King is still the man - you'd put him top 5, maybe top 3 but not the best!

I think it's very difficult to compare Steven Gerrard and Kenny Dalglish.

If you take it on trophies alone Dalgish is way ahead, but Dalglish was part of a team that had alot of other great players in it, and the success of that team was due to the strength of the team as a whole, admittedly Kenny was a key part of that team as well as a gret player in his own right.

Gerrard hasn't had the opportunity to be in a team of great players, for almost his whole time at LFC he's probably been one of the two best players in the team, with often the other players lacking in quality. Gerrard has had to be the one to make things happen because often there has been no one else.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

No offence people but surely this thread should just be a bit of a tribute to Stevie G as opposed to a debate on whether he's more of a legend
than Kenny Dalglish and all that lark.
