If you take it on trophies alone Dalgish is way ahead, but Dalglish was part of a team that had alot of other great players in it, and the success of that team was due to the strength of the team as a whole, admittedly Kenny was a key part of that team as well as a gret player in his own right.

Gerrard hasn't had the opportunity to be in a team of great players, for almost his whole time at LFC he's probably been one of the two best players in the team, with often the other players lacking in quality. Gerrard has had to be the one to make things happen because often there has been no one else.

Imagine Gerrard in those teams in the 80s.

        ...is the correct response.

It's pretty futile even trying to compare players from different eras. Kenny played in a team of Kings at a time when even a whisper of LFC would kill 99% of household germs.

Legend. They are; none more none less...just legends. different eras different challenges....uncomparable imo. Just legends.

I hate it when people use the phrase Mr Liverpool but if anyone is truly deserving of that moniker then it's definitely Stevie
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

                      Legend.

It will be sad day for LFC when Stevie stops playing.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Like it was every time he did it last season.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

We should just feel privleged/blessed to have had so many great players playing for our club. Lets hope it continues and that Steven Gerrard is not the last.

Bizarrely though, such was the qualities in those sides, Gerrard probably would've barely stood out

So did Kenny, Souness, Barnes, etc single handedly win titles as well to make them all better than Stevie?!
I don't think ANY other great has carried the club like Gerrard has - end of!
