I personally think Glens a top player, he just has to learn Roys system.
Definitely. He proved on Thursday that he can defend and attack but in Roy's system even good players could look like ****e. I wouldn't be concerned if he would play instead of Kelly and actually I would like to see him start.

Definitely. It is more a case of everyone playing better, rather than Johnson not playing that is behind our recent improvement. Glen is class in my opinion and gets too much grief and for some seems solely to blame if we let in a few goals. The entire defence has been gash at times this season not Johnson. He is the whipping boy du jour for many after Lucas last year as Kuyt was in the past also etc etc.

He will probably notch an OG now I've said this but I rate him.

        Agreed.

For me too many people are watching MOTD and Sky watching the analysis and taking it as Bible (part-time football fans at work are horrible for this). A player may have a bad game or a bad run of games and they will get picked up on it and rightly so, they are there to analyse the game, but it doesn't mean they are suddenly a ****e player and always have been?!

As for Wigan, N'Zogbia is a real threat, one I wouldn't mind having on our left hand side or at least on the bench. Saying that he seems to be there only threat at the minute and hopefully we can contain him.

Lets just hope Torres and the boys are up for a pissing horrible night in Wigan though.

          Hansen & Dixon my arse

Johnson's a very good player, just got zero confidence at the moment and does seem to be being affected by something.

Someone had better tell Fabio Capello that Hansen, Dixon and Perkins think he's ****.

Confidence should be high amongst those that started on the weekend so lets keep it going. We really need to make the most of the Chelsea result now which will mean nothing if we don't win against Wigan.

Him plus Rodellega. Stop those two and we're half way to winning this one.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

snap. personally, id keep a winning team. no need to make chanhes if it worked last time out. but i think johnson will come in for kelly.

I think the thing with Johnson is his attacking play (when hes on form) masks his defensive deficiencies

To me he is an appalling defender as LDP has said his body positions and general positioning is ****ing dire, hes also not strong enough for me

Johnson might be good going forward but defensively hes wank

It's hyperbole IMO. He's obviously no Maldini and he obviously has weaknesses, but it's blown way, way out of proportion. If he was as bad as some like to try and make out, Capello wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. Ask yourself how many goals Johnson's so-called wank defending has cost us - the answer is not very many. Not very many at all.

I'm not so sure dude, i think it would be harsh on whoever started against Chelsea as all 11 played well.

I do think Johnson will be introduced at some point in the match tho. Any news on Joe Cole, with regards his injury?

Have to say i've always thought Johnson was dodgy defensively, was ****ing staggered when we paid £17mil for him.

He soon won me over but even when he was tearing it up down the right flank, he was still getting caught out far too frequently defensively and this season, he's just been in horrific form. Even the biggest Glen Johnson fan would have to admit that.

It's not that he's totally ****, obviously he's a great asset for Liverpool and England when he's at his best but he needs to get his head sorted and start focusing during matches.
