Clearly Itandje is better than Jones. Itandje hasn't actually done anything to suggest he is a poor player, he's more a bad person. He hardly played and he was okay, not amazing but okay in the League Cup that one season. He was a starter for Lens (whom were in Europe a fair few times) and was always in the France U21 squad - he has some pedigree. Whereas Jones warmed the bench for sub par Boro and only got games once they dropped down a level.

I recall watching one match where Itandje's let a pretty tame shot in at the near post coz his positioning was awful. Not sure how you can say he's better than Jones given that he's hardly played for us in the last 3-4 years.
