Not even going to attempt it. What this thread does show is that the greats will keep on coming. If Torres et al etc wanna leave , **** em! There will be someone else.

    Mine was.

    --------------Souness-----------------Whelan--------------------

    Gerrard-------------------Dalglish------------------------Barnes

    Rush
    Fowler
    Lawrenson
    Alonso
    Grobbelaar
    Neal
    Beardsley

    Manager: Bob Paisley

I know, Brucie or Clem should perhaps go in ahead of Reina, and Rushie ahead of Torres (I would love to see Torres playing with someone like Kenny)... but what a team this would be.

hard question but what about heighway? and Billy L? oh and kennedy

not criticising your choices its difficult isnt it

Too young to make a team. All too familiar. But my CM will have "Hamann and Alonso" in it. Gerrard on the right and Torres and Fowler upfront.

I'm struggling to beat the first posted. I'm thinking up all sorts of formations and who we'd be playing in today's world. Tough one.

He was superb, and yeah, had injuries not taken their toll then I'm sure he'd have been England's right-back for years. I was tempted with Finnan but Jones was better.

Mate, say I started really watching footy in 93, that gives me about a season of watching Rush... my real memories came from the season before Collymore joined, and when he and Fowler played together in 95/96 (?!) they were ****ing awesome. So he gets in because of that

    Good thread

I've just turned 26 and can only really start remembering back from about 92/93 onwards, so since I started watching properly...

    Rafa Benitez as manager.

    ----------------Reina

    ----Jones Carragher Hyypia Riise

    -----------------Alonso

    ----McManaman Gerrard Berger

    -----------Torres Fowler

    Subs;

    Westerveld
    Finnan
    Babbel
    Hamann
    Mascherano
    Collymore
    Garcia

Tough one, because if we were talking about players in their prime then Rush, Barnes and Litmanen would make it. Crouch and Collymore were neck and neck for me, but I still think that Fowler & Collymore were amazing together, so Collymore just edges it.

I'll look back later and edit because I've probably missed a few
