Realistically it is for Spurs to lose (against us) but I think it will be a closer match that many believe and I am also very hopeful that we can play some decent football and get a good result.
You have to remember though that Arsenal had already lost at home to Newcastle and West Brom, so their stadium isn't the fortress it was. Arsenal were all over the place in the second half against Spurs.

Having said that I don't fancy us away to Spurs with our visionary manager's park-the-bus-and-defend-at-all-costs tactics. In times gone by I'd be pissed off if we lost such a game. These days I console myself that it should mean Hodgson gets the boot sooner rather than later

I hope they play tonight and both get a whack on whatever injury they have.

It would be nice if several of them picked up some small knocks that kept them out of the game at the weekend

Is true. I used to go out with a girl from Tottenham and it was like walking round a war zone. Definitely not an area to hang around in after the sun goes down

But that actually WAS during the Great War though.

I don't understand why people are such dickheads to be honest. In Aus if you wear an opponents strip you might get a bit of funny banter but nobody would touch you because of it...
In England you're likely to get just a good kicking if you're lucky

If this game was at Anfield, i'd fancy our chances, even without Gerrard.

Away from home and up against a side full of confidence, i just don't hold out any hope whatsoever.
Ok maybe the scoreline i predicted was a bit ott but atm i can only see a comfortable home win.

I hear ya. How things changed drastically. In the past we would go to WHL expecting nothing but a win and now we are massive underdogs and a scoreless draw would seem as big as a mountain..

Like you I cannot wait for Roy to leave but imo this team is capable of hitting an ocassional highlight and playing some decent football and achieving a good result.

Probably unlikely but nevertheless it is possible.

Doesn't matter what result we get against spurs as Roy will still be there on monday. At least we'll get to watch a confident attacking team play
