What the hell is going on with our centre backs? At the start of the season we thought Agger and Skrtel were a solid first choice pairing and we had Carragher and a promising Coates as back up, now Agger and Skrtel look shakey, Carragher is retiring and Coates looks like he'll be shown the door.

The area that needed little-to-no attention is now shipping goals at an alarming rate (often against **** opposition) and in dire need of a shake-up.

It comes back to my concerns about the manager's ability to set up a defence. Agger has been mainly excellent for us over the years. This season he looks ****e, after imperious displays at the Euros. Last season arguably Agger & Skrtel were our best players. Skrtel player of the year. Now look at the pair of them. Coincidence?

I'm not sure if it's defensive organisation that is the issue. Aren't they just making basic errors, failing to track their man, pure lazyness, lack of concentration. I have concerns on defensive set-up but my main one is too much being asked of Lucas too soon. His position is vital but we can't afford to have a player in that position trying to gain fitness with the way we play
