    Daniel Agger

Daniel Agger is expected to put his injury woe behind him when he returns to action for Liverpool before Christmas.

Medical staff at Melwood had feared that the defender would be out of action indefinitely due to a calf injury picked up on internatioanl duty, which was preceded by a groin problem that had ruled him out of action for the Reds since a 2-2 draw with Sunderland in late September.

But Dr Peter Brukner, Liverpool's Head of Sports Science, believes that Agger, 25, will be available for selection in three weeks' time, as Roy Hodgson's side prepare to undergo a hectic schedule with four games in ten days over the festive period.

"Daniel’s injury is an unusual one," he admitted.

“In the international game a month ago, he got a kick on the calf, and sometimes when that happens you get some calcification in the blood clot that forms there, and unfortunately that has happened in Daniel’s case.

“It’s just taken a lot longer than you would expect for something like that. The calcification, once it appears, takes about a month to dissolve and fully recover.

“Daniel has probably got another three weeks before he is back playing. It’s a very disappointing and frustrating situation but there’s not a lot we can do about it.

“Only time heals this sort of injury, so we just have to be patient with Daniel. But he’ll definitely be back before Christmas.”

They should just keep this article for next month, change a few words and release it again when he inevitable gets injured.

Points to that Agger really isn't injured doesn't it just as many of us believe.

That's a bit conspiracy theory thinking!

Agger is no doubt injured but also Roy for some unknown reason doesn't rate him, perhaps the fact he can pass from the back makes him a bit too gung-ho for his "tactics"

I think Agger is injured, but I also think Roy wants him out.

I'd lose very little sleep if Agger left and we brought in Rami. Agger takes the piss with his constant injuries & I also reckon he's over-rated as a defender.
