Puyol is obviously in the twilight but it is totally insane how so many people have dismissed him for years. One of football's great mysteries. He's absolutely brilliant.

Skrtel is a very good defender but Agger is technically superb and to me more complete CB.

He has everything you are looking for in top notch defender.

Those are attributes. Skrtel has been in much better form this season than Agger, although Agger has pretty much been amazing too.

I disagree.

Skrtel improved drastically compared to the previous seasons and deserves all the credit he can get but imo Agger has been constant quality and this season was simply outstanding.

It's ****ing wicked though having 2 technically brilliant defenders who are quick, aggressive, never hoof the ball and are comfortable bringing the ball out (Obviously Aggers is much better at bringing the ball out and Skrtel is much quicker). Skrtel's control of the ball is superb

Agreed, Agger has been excellent but think he's been dodgy on a few goals, Blackburn, Dzeko's the other day and the first at Bolton. Still been immense overall though but Skrtel edges it.

Both cause carnage in opposition area's too. Agger has a goal and won 2 penalties in the last few weeks.

They've both solved the one problem they each had. Agger's remaining fit (touch wood) and Skrtel's cut out the stupid rash errors. Great partnership.
