agger is basically already a rodgers player. if they are treating this as preseason, it makes sense to give minutes to defenders who need to work more on their game before the league starts.

Plus he's a player who has historically struggled with injuries, perhaps Rodgers wants to give him a bit more of a rest especially after Agger playing during the Euro's too.

The only thing to hold against Agger is his injury record. I can't believe that he's on high wages so the only reason for a sale is cos the club feel the fee involved is too good to turn down.

I still wouldn't sell as he's our best centre back when fit and if we do it smacks a bit of having to sell before buying which,if accurate, would not good indicator of our owners abilities to get us back to the sharp end.
