The lads on the Anfield Wrap were saying its highly unlikely that he would be moving, something about him being really settled in the city and having lots of business interests. I would give him an improved contract, best defender in the lg when fit, he plays we tend to win. Factoid

From the mysterious Macca:
Agger does not want to join City so fingers crossed that will not happen and he will stay..
Tello is a loan target..
Sahin is also a target, it will be a straight fight with Arsenal.
Demsey is on going with Adam used as a makeweight, could drag on..
Allen will sign (i personally think he will be a great player.)
Carroll has gone quiet and could possibly be subject of a last minute bid from Newcastle..
Walcott is a target..
Hope this helps...
Cheers

He said if someone meets LFC's valuation he will be sold really hope he staysOriginally posted by Pepe79 View PostAnyone got any details from Tony Barrett's article on Agger's contract situation?"All I'll ever do is all I've ever done in any job, and that's promise to fight for my life for the supporters and the people of the city"

I think it's more to do with his contract situation; sign this summer or be sold.
Agger might not want to leave, but they can't agree a new deal neither; because he's in his final two years of his contract, I guess Ayre is considering getting *something* for Agger, rather than nothing.
Ayre's screwed either way as a section of the fan base will blast him regardless of which way this might go. Even if Agger stays and signs a new contract, Ayre will be ridiculed for even considering cashing in on him - he's in an unenviable place.

Has anyone from the club actually confirmed that we have no money to spend?Originally posted by Tee View PostSad state of affairs that a new Manager brought in with such fanfare has to sell to buy. What a joke.
Last year, everyone knew we had a substantial war chest going into the close season and we ended up paying over the odds in the process.
I’m not going to start worrying until the window closes, honestly what’s the point?
