The risk of selling does not outweigh the financial benefit. Stinks of off field issues.

I think if Agger signs a reasonable new contract he'll stay. Same for Martin.

To me it all sounds like posturing over a new deal. By the sounds Agger wants to stay, the manager wants him - I think they'll both sign new deals.

If he was seriously off he would not have played against a **** second rate team that will cup tie him from Europe. See Michael Owen situation for an example.

I think it's becoming clear that Rodgers didn't want a 'yes man' in between him and the owners in the organisational chart. He wanted to have the ability to fight his corner in terms of who he wants in and out directly with the owners themselves, not via someone else who has there own agenda. I think ultimately, if the owners say that we are cashing in on 'player x', Rodgers can only try and change their mind.

I don't see any hard evidence to suggest the owners are consdifering selling him or want him sold or are interfering with Rodgers on football matters. People seem to jump to conclusions about FSG and assume the worst way too fast. For example loads of people believed they had forced Suarez to apologise over the Evra debacle when in fact it was the club who had done so and there was no proper evidence to suggest otherwise. i even read a grossly exaggerated post about this speculation over Agger being 'shades of H+ G' which just isn't true at all.

Agger is a great defender, he wants to stay, the manager wants him to stay, i believe he will stay and i hope he does.

Quite clearly any rumour that the owners are specifically forcing the sale of Agger is utter bull****, and possibly quite malicious into the bargain. That they've told Rodgers there are limited funds and he will have to sell to raise more is pretty much the same thing most owners tell most managers. Hence why we were trying to flog Carroll a few weeks back. Obviously though the clubs with the big money are only actually interested in our good players, thus the issue with Agger.

So if Rodgers wants to spend more, he has to generate some funds. If he chooses to do that by selling Agger that is his decision, and not forced by the owners nefarious hatred of all things Danish, but by financial reality and the manager's desire to overall improve the squad. Surely it is that simple?

I don't think you get cup tied from Europe for playing in these rounds.

I am not an ITK and will not pretend to be so but I do know someone who works within the club at a level which sees him speak with a lot of senior staff at training. He told us Tuesday that he spoke to Mike Marsh who told him Allen was a done deal and Agger was staying.

Whether MM would be privy to this as fact is another thing but I thought I'd pass it on here.

                      I don't like Mike Marsh's face, so I wouldn't trust him.

Nice one. Fingers crossed it's correct. I'm not interested in £25m, I wanna keep him.

I remember Mike Marsh making his debut, no he is a trainer how time flys.
