Reds still keen to sign Lallana and are ready to listen to offers for Agger

Negotiations for 26-year-old Southampton midfielder ongoing but Saints holding out for fee close to £25m
Liverpool FC remain keen on securing a deal for Adam Lallana ahead of the World Cup – but are yet to agree a fee for the Southampton skipper.
The Reds tabled a £20m offer for the 26-year-old earlier this month, but Saints are holding out for closer to £25m.
Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, and are expected to continue over the next few days.
Liverpool would ideally like a deal agreed before Lallana heads to Brazil with England for the World Cup next month, but are confident that the player is keen on a move to Anfield, and that there is a willingness to sell on Southampton’s part.
Another Southampton player, Dejan Lovren, has been targeted by Brendan Rodgers , though that deal would have no bearing on their pursuit of Lallana.
Xherdan Shaqiri has been lined up as a potential alternative to Lallana, who is currently in Portugal at England’s pre-World Cup training squad. Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm is another who is under consideration.
Reports linking the Reds with a move for Manchester City’s James Milner are premature, though the England winger is someone the club would consider if they were to miss out on other targets over the next couple of months.
The Dane stated earlier this week that he would was unsure of his future, after losing his place at Anfield in the second half of last season.
No formal offers have been made for the 29-year-old as yet, though Napoli have been credited with an interest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I like Agger a lot but all our defenders look questionable at the minute. On the other hand we have seen that if players work hard on what he wants Rodgers he will give them a chance to get back in th team. I think we have to trust Rodgers to put a defence together.
If we decide he has to go we should ask Barca about swap deals for Sanchez or Pedro (money involved too obviously).

Its a shame Agger and Sahko was never given a go, as I think that would obviously be our best pairing. I also think he's better than Lovern from what i've seen.
Anything over £10-15m would be decent business though.
