Because it is our only chance at a trophy, but we are so mismanaged we have little chance, Roy is doing his best in the league to make sure we don't get back into Europe next season.

And we have been outscored in the group by ****ing Steau.

Roy Hodgson admitted he was delighted by the performance of his young stars as Liverpool secured a place in the last 32 of the Europa League with a 1-1 draw against Steaua Bucharest on Thursday night.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Biscan's just been sent off. I didn't want to start a new thread just for that. Villareal look good.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Remember this is the level of expectation he has on himself - in his eyes scraping out of the europa league group with a draw and playing his style of "winning" football is a triumph and something to be proud of.

Except we haven't scraped out have we? We've topped the group unbeaten with a game to spare, mainly through playing our young players and squad players.

It might have been **** to watch at times, but in pure points terms we really couldn't have qualified much better than that. We were only a Pepe howler away from nicking the game tonight too. Not that we'd have deserved it.

And you know what, even if Roy goes tomorrow, this run will have done the young lads the world of good. I remember reading in one of the autobiographies (might have been Carra's) about how important the players thought the European runs with Houllier were in the Cup Winners Cup and UEFA cup, in terms of giving them the experience to know how to do a job in Europe. Topping the group like this will have given some great winning experience in Europe to all the lads who've played so far, and will stand us in good stead for hopefully much bigger games to come in future years.

It doesn't all have to be doom and gloom you know. Even a stopped watch is right twice a day, you're allowed to take pleasure in the club you support even if you totally disagree with the manager...

Houllier was not as bad as this. Hodgson will go down as the worst manager in the clubs history. He's like the managerial version of David Moores
