Managers deserve time and players deserve support, that's the way I was brought up as a fan, and whilst Roy is severely testing my principles on the first one, I just cannot go along with the flow here and have to keep challenging it from time to time.

Please dont try the "liverpool Way" thing it doesnt wash

The Liverpool Way was about winning we have NEVER (in my lifetime - 40 years) had to put up with such a piss poor manager with piss poor tactics, ****e signings, dog**** performances and a man who has alienated his supporters & his players and refused to accept the blame for anything etc..

Hodgson has road roughshod over our traditions he can go and **** himself as far as I am concerned

I will support the team and I will never want us to get beat but for Hodgson to garner even a small amount of support and respect he'd have to have personality & a brain transplant

I still can't believe that we were as reactive as we were against such a terrible team. You could see every time we went forward that they were vulnerable.

Also - Joe Cole not a striker, who knew?

The tactics were horrible. The performance pretty abject. Really it's only the fact that we have lucked out in the group that prevents it looking like as bad a showing as Northampton.

You are probably right but this squad really is not a very good squad. No passion, no pride, no movement, no teamwork, no creativity for over a year and for two managers.

So now we are turning it round and saying its not the manager its the players

The tactics and performances now are far and away worse than last year

At least I could reason with some of the tactics under Rafa (even if performances werent there)

I just cant understand any tactics that involves giving average teams possession and time

We are Liverpool not ****ing Fulham and the sooner our manager realises that the better

But 35 years experience will no doubt tell him hes on the right track and all will be hunkydory shortly

Glad it gave you the opportunity to go off on one again, but I never mentioned "The Liverpool Way". I'm talking about the way I was brought up as a fan. Players deserve support and new managers need time to get the team playing the way they want - then they can live or die based on their success of lack of it. Glad it gave you the opportunity to go off on one again, but I never mentioned "The Liverpool Way". I'm talking about the way I was brought up as a fan. When, ever have 99% of Liverpool fans been so utterly disenchanted in them and disintersted in the teams results?

I class myself as an obsessive Liverpool fan, season ticket for 20+ years, been all over Europe, for christs sake my daughters middle names are Stephanie and Samantha after our early 2000's team. Ive got a 6ft Liverbird on my office wall and a very nice tatoo on my back. I got married on International weekend so id never miss a match (the wife didnt know) and yes I backed Rafa to the hilt, and even at the end Ive got to say I thought he could do no wrong as the quote goes, also though its worth pointing out that I backed Souness and thought he was sacked too soon, I also though Ged should have been given more time so I am not by any stretch a man who is unaware of 'The Liverpool way'

But this man is ruining football for me. Never have I been so disinterested in watching Liverpool, never have I not celebrated goals like this season and never ever ever have I ever had this small feeling in the back of my mind thinking 'well if we lose in wont be a bad thing, at least hell be nearer to the sack' or at the very least the ******s in the media will see him for what he is, an old ****ing fraud.

They did try to attack early and score a couple before just defending and playing on the counter. But they could force victories against negative teams and I wouldn't say they camped on their six yard line.

Now I never called for Rafa's head as far as I can remember and after backing Hodgson initially I want him gone, but what I have suggested time and time again is that this group of players over this season and the whole of last season have not shown passion, pride, movement, teamwork, creativity, aggression for the two managers we have had.

I also wonder if, after coming so close when we finished second, that that destroyed some of our players in that they just thought, 'it's never going to happen is it' along with H&G not giving the right amount of funds the following season to build on a great season.

As for possession stats or stats in general I really couldn't give a **** apart from the only one that counts, goals we've scored against goals the opposition have scored and if ours is greater than theirs then I'm happy which goes with the Liverpool Way of winning, i believe.

As for all the possession this squad had last season they still lost a hell of a lot of games and finished seventh which was nowhere good enough.

Can't believe some people are calling for him to be given time. His time has run out long ago, he's doing untold damage to the very foundations of this club now. Speaking for me, I just couldn't be bothered watching this match last night, how uninspiring and negative our teams/performances have become. Roy Hodgson has sucked the last bit of what was left of Liverpool FC. He's made us a team in his own image.
