Glad for Kelly,Pacheco will not be good enough imo,he may do ok in a mid table spanish/Italian team but not for us.He reminds me of Sinama Pongolle.

its not about the club. More the player who imo would not have signed a contract if he thought that he would be playing as a defensive right midfielder under the bodge

I know plenty of defensive midfielders or full backs who would struggle when asked to play in an attacking role. At LFC it's the attacking players being asked to play defensive roles.

15 yards on the pitch is a major difference. That much further forward and you'd see a different Dani, but it's not only him. Jova looked a capable player prior to joining LFC. Him and Dani are wide players who can play further forwards if need be, not wide players who can drop deeper if required.

It's all a bit obvious really when certain players don't perform.

Dani Pacheco and Martin Kelly have signed new, extended contracts at Liverpool.

Pacheco has signed a two year extension taking his contract to 30 June 2014, while Kelly has signed a three year extension, also taking his contract to 30 June 2014.

Surely not, he was being sold the other day...

He wasn't playing right back and being out of position is a poor excuse. He's not Messi, he doesn't have a god given right to be in the team.

He showed no heart or desire at all.

Totally disagree. He actually showed quite a bit of heart especially playing entire game totally out of position.

Also he was the only one who covered both side of the pitch (offensively and defensively) and nobody ran more than Danny yesterday.

You're a wum arent you? He was next to Kelly half the time and spent the other half of the game in line with Poulsen, its ridiculous.

Well happy these two have extensions. I felt Pacheco was on the way out, I also felt sorry for the tactics and position he had to take up in the team against Steau.

All in all a good move by LFC to show Kelly and Pacheco they are wanted long term

It's no coincidence that most of our attacking mid/forward players like Cole, Jovanovic, Pacheco, Maxi look absolutely **** playing for Hodgson.

Hes also succeeded in making Torres look **** and blunting Gerrards attacking threat

**** hes only been here 4 months imagine what he could do in 12!
