Right so it's the Toon Army up next for us. A Newcastle side that is surely in disarray following the untimely, brutal and indeed controversial sacking of the much liked Chris Hughton - they're their for the taking imo and if we don't go away with 3 points i'd be bitterly disappointed.
Some might say the new Manager effect might give them a boost but such was Hughton's popularity amongst players and fans, i think it'll take a little longer than a few days for Pardew to win them over!!
Anyway onto team affairs - it's a bit of a **** one that Gerrard is still out as it appeared he was in line to return against Newcastle... that's obviously not the case now. Still, the partnership of Lucas and Meireles has looked very promising of late and i hope they both continue their fine form on Saturday evening.
Onto the strikeforce, whilst it was great to see Babel and N'gog play so well against Villa, one of them will need to make way for Torres - Football can be a brutal industry but there's no leaving Torres out if he's available.
My team would be:
-------------------- Reina --------------------
Johnson --------- Soto ------ Skrtel ----- Konch(much rather Aurelio tho)
Kuyt -------- Meireles -------- Lucas ---- Maxi
------------ N'gog --------- Torres -------
St James can be a hostile place to go, our away form is dire and with Roy in charge **** knows what we'll approach it but i'm going to go for a 2-0 away victory for the Reds
