Get a manager who knows how to unify the players and motivate them, and then see if Torres would still look 'so bad'. Then see if Pepe would look 'fat and dithering'.

It's obvious that they have no faith in him (nobody can blame them) and when you lose faith in the manager, you're just going through the motions.

If/when Torres and Reina go, as you say, it'll set us back maybe 5 years.

It will be a massive disaster for the club and must not be allowed to happen. NESV's passive approach is virtually pushing Nando out of the door.

I even wonder whether they're seeing a £40m transfer fee and rubbing their hands.
What we as fans need to ask is who in world football are better than Torres and Reina???
Then ask if those players are realistic transfer targets and even if we could afford then would they want to sign for us??
If the answer to the second question is no then it is obvious that we will be replacing them with inferior players and continuing to downgrade and dilute the quality of our squad

Just like we accepted downgrading our manager because a % of our fans were sucked in by the anti Benitez media agenda and were deluded enough to believe we would attract someone like Hiddink or Mourinho
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

If NESV had bought the club before the start of this season, i dont think Mourinho or Hiddink would've been out of our reach. Obviously Mourinho would've been hard pressed to turn down Madrid, but he'd have had a decision to make.

That all depends if NESV are willing to spend big money.

If NESV would have bought the club at that time then Rafa would most probably still be our manager.

Well if they arent willing to spend big, they shouldnt have ****ing poked their noses in to begin with.

I think they'll spend, they're already being accused of trying to buy success for the Red Sox after 2 massive signings recently. I think a decent amount will be available, certainly over the next year or so anyway.

The manager situation is very worrying though, I'd like to think theyve got someone lined up or do want Hodgson out, but its a waste of a season in the meantime which is annoying.

Do you think Torres will give us another wasted season of his career?

They've already said they would not have got into football had the financial fair play not come about. They will not be spending massive amounts.

But that's Baseball. Guess we'll find out. But I don't expect miracles. Much like I don't expect a new manager.

Yes, that is baseball. And if they only want to do it in baseball, they should've stuck with baseball. We dont need Gillett & Hicks (minus the debt) part 2.

The transfer system is different so they can afford to pay much higher wages.
