Where did i say in the summer that bringing Hodgson in would make things better?

    Good luck finding that quote.

It is up to them. Act now and show strength and ambition or don't do it and say bye bye to our best players and show weakness.

If they show weakness then we will also get it much more difficult to sign the best players. Show ambition and strength and we have a chance to do that.
I dont agree i see the point but its just a cliché. there are many good players out there and with a good manager we could climb again but remember you want cara and gerrard gone, you think we can replace them. I actually think the hardest to replace would be pepe. I would hate torres to go but it may in the end be the best for the club. Not by itself but if we get the right manager in as soon as possible.

        good little twist

but what you said was and you know that anyone could get us into the top 4 rafa needs to go.

now i know you have reinvented it to mean something different but it is what you said at the time

now anyone i take to mean anyone not anyone but bodgeson, sorry if thats an old fashioned use of the word.

so we have hired anyone and things have got worse. oh yes that is what i said before you tried to turn it into your little quip above.

Letting Torres go would not be in the best interests of the club. He is unmotivated atm but I for one can't blame him. It pisses me off he is not trying 100%, but the way he's been asked to play is a joke.

Still, swapping him for Cralton Cole will I'm sure take us to the next level

Gerrard is bit overrated at the moment. It wouldn't be a big loss if we sold him. How many positions in the starting XI is he our best option. On the right and behind Torres. Two positions. Can we get in better players on the right and behind Torres than Gerrard? The answer is yes.

He isn't a must any more. We can replace him.

We can replace Carra without that much problem.

I agree with you that Pepe is the player we must keep. He is IMO our real Captain and leader.

i have never been of the opinion that cole should be here.

If we had, had the internet for years people would have said no way is keegan going a good thing for this club, what happened a wee scot called Kenny came. i wonder if that was good for the club.

look at the scum look at the good players he has let go and we all including me have said he is being stupid thats it for them now and it hasnt been. I really wish it was.

I did not say it would be in the best interests of the club for him to go just that it is possible that it is.

its not a hard concept to grab.

you and craig its all doom and you wont accept that actually they MAY have a plan and it MAY be the right thing.

i am not asking you to acknowledge that it IS just it MAY that it is POSSIBLE.

I know why i hate the football forums on here sometimes.

Is the Intertoto Cup still going?

and who could we get in to replace him if our owners showed that they are prepared to let our best player leave?

More or less every class player out there would turn us down. As long as we have Torres then we have a chance to sign the best players because they want to play with him. They want to play with one of the best players in the world.

i would prefer Gerrard to stay i think he still has something special especially behind Torres and i think that is his best position. Cara is on the wayne but useful to have the reason to get rid would be because of the influence in the dressing room.

For me its more important to get the right manager and back him than to keep the best players and get someone who isnt right. In the end under that we will be replacing Torres etc etc and the manager to win the league.

The shame in all this is how close we came if that summer we had invested i wonder what would have happened.

still we are where we are and it is from here we need to move but it has to be right

so you think that is the plan do you

you think that htey have thier plan fully implemented and taking full effect already

you really cant discuss anything can you.

its a shame as the evidence is your a nice bloke, the lift for fernahihno and the help for tickets you give people, but your posting is too knee jerk for me.

you dont think anyone else has an opinion, you change yours you dont admit you were wrong ever and then you try to turn peoples points with silly little posts like the one quoted here. All i am saying is that there are other possibilities but you seem to think that the isnt, fine

we all know if they do somehow you will have always been saying that they would get it right etc etc.

please stop ruining this place and allow other people an opinion please.

its getting to be as bad as at the end of rafas reign

                              Seems to be for you.

                              Think about it.

We are not going to finish top 4 this year due to keeping Hodgson. in fact, we'll be lucky to make the Europa League places.

How many top players do you think we will attract if we are not in European football? How's about none.

Now Torres may be unmotivated and a bit sulky atm, but he is one of the worlds top strikers. If he leaves, who do you suggest we replace him with? When you consider 0 top players will want to join. Who do you suggest we replace Pepe Reina with?

I'm afraid to say, short term it is all doom and gloom. because when you lose your top players, you struggle to make the top 4. And if you can't make the top 4, you struggle to attract top players to replace the ones you've lost. You get stuck in a cycle.

And that is why the top 4 was the same for so long. No one could break it because they couldn't attract the top players they needed.

Now we are no longer in the top 4. But if we keep our top players like Torres, Reina and Gerrard. Then add some good players around them, we can get back in that top 4 and then once again start attracting the top, world class players.

If we keep Hodgson we'll finish midtable. And we'll lose our top players, and any short term chance of making the top 4.

It WILL take years to come back from this as we wait for young players to develop.
