1. Hodgson needs to leave.

2. Konchesky, Poulsen bye bye. make a decision about Babel (he's good but he's being wasted here), Jovanovic the same though his talent is less than that of babel.

3. A great stopper should play alongside Daniel agger. sorry but Carra is too old and Skrtel is not good enough for Lfc. Scout for a left back better than Insua and who can stay fit much more than Aurelio.

4. Kuyt and Maxi are too slow. keep one for experience, sell the other. Bring a world class winger.

5. Bring a striker that can be more effective than Ngog away from home, a striker that can replace Torres easily.

100% agree, we need a proper out and out defender to play alongside the ever present Danny Agger.

Disagree about Milito - should be investing in younger players, he won't improve but slowly decline from now on as he's 31 already...

nesv said it would take 3 years to have us challenging for the title. in reality it means we lose reina, gerrard and torres this summer and bring in a new manager to rebuild the team with substantial funds.

unfortunately those 3 are not going to wait 3 years until we're 'competitive' again.

the biggest question is who do you trust to rebuild this liverpool side into one that can challenge for the title ?

The owners talk of a rebuilding job, its not that at all, and thats the most worrying factor when Mr Henry and Mr Werner speak! if yiu look at this once great club, you can see the fans are (mostly still with us) you can see the clubs sponsor is the best we are most likely to get, (only madrid, utd and barca are worth more!).
Then you look at the clubs facilities, up there with the best of the best, the academy is just great, the pitches all made to the same shape and size as our very own anfield!.
Then you look at the leadind figures at the club, King keeny is waiting to take on more duites and a bigger role at the club, you have the youth and reserve team coaches, the spanish chaps' rudolpho and sergie doing a great club job.
Then we have lots and lots of very young talented kid coming through too.
Sio ten the task of running a club and a business is making it all tick the same way, so it all makes it all flow and help the whole organisation come to together and make sure its all pulling in the right direction(thats what John Henry said, we need us all on the same page).
we have do have some great players, but really we are still no closer to getting that squad is very very weak and thats one thing the new owners are going to have to challenge and very quickly, because guys if you dont have a good team, you can have the best fans and best ground in the world, it wouldnt mean a thing, not a thing,,,,
thats where they have a huge job, but not a rebuilding one, so that leads me back to my first point, why are they banging on about rebuilding,?,,

1, is it so they can take time,?
2, is it so they dont have to spend and pay out asap!???

dont know, but what i do know, and it aint ****ing rocket science,,, its about making better transfer window deals, its about better players and a better manager who players can work with, and its as clear as this!!!
untill liverpool stop buying 30 year ****e players and paying them to much, untill liverpool stop relying on free deals to help the back up suad, untill liverpool stop having nearly 5-7 loan deals that are just waisting the clubs time and long term budget and wage billl, untill liverpool as a club and wake up and start making progressive deals on the pitch we can all sit here and bang on about all sorts but nothing is going to change untill we invest and invest once and well. and i know before i get some cunt saying that i mean we spend over 300 million on players, er no way i do not want that real madrid, man city culture, but! ... come on,,, some investment is needed once and for all.

On the field - it has to start now!! the longer they leave it....the harder it will get. But right now we could still turn this around and rescue this season a bit which will make next summer 10 times easier

1. - Sack roy now and bring a top manager

2. - january transfer window -being willing to spend what it takes to get in 3 players we are screaming for - left back, pacy left mid and a striker - it doesn't matter if it's £20m or £50m as long as we get the right type of players - it has to be done asap

3 - hope the new manager and player additions are enough to get us playing well for the rest of the season and too push for a top 6 place....maybe with a bit of luck and the way the league is, torres pulls his finger and we snuck 4th

4 - if the above happens it might be enough to convince torres and reina to stay - if so then in the summer it'll be a hell of a lot easier attracting players to the club with a good manager, a side thats shown major improvement and still has reina, gerrard, torres, 3 other new/good players and handful of others that are good (johnson/meireles)

5 - next summer being willing to invest again to improve CB, Dm and Rm - so that starting next season we have reina/gerrard/torres and at least two more world class players, and then a further half a dozen or so very good players

There are god knows how many professional footballers out there, with plenty who would improve our squad. We just have to make sure we've searched everywhere possible to get exactly the right deal.

- ie there must be a left back, we can snap up for say no more than £10m that will be class....someone strong/pacy/atheltic with a bit of footballing ability - for example arsenal found sagna for about £9m - we need to pluck a left sided version of him from somewhere.
