Should he be offered a new contract then ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

On the grass, in the snow, even in the car park..........doesn't matter where we play them. We are certain to come away from Blackpool with nothing.

Roy Hodgson has confirmed Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger are fit to face Blackpool on Boxing Day.

Gerrard has been sidelined in recent weeks by a hamstring injury sustained on international duty with England last month, while a calf problem has kept Agger out of action since September 25.

However, the pair are set to return to action for the trip to Bloomfield Road.

Hodgson told his pre-match press conference: "Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger are fit.

"It's a big boost going into five games in 15 days, which is a season-changing period for every club in the Premier League.

"Steven would have been fit to have played against Fulham as well, so it doesn't hurt to give him an extra week so he can get some more training in.

"But what he needs now is to play matches and unfortunately the chance to play a match was missed because of our game against Fulham falling victim to the weather."

Jay Spearing and Jamie Carragher are Liverpool's only absentees for the Blackpool clash.

Hodgson added: "There are only two players unavailable to me. Jay Spearing, who suffered a break in a bone above his ankle, is - and this is no secret - still out for another month I think.

"Jamie Carragher is, if we are to believe the doctors, still nine weeks away from coming back. But knowing Jamie, it would not surprise me if it was a lot less than nine weeks."

How tyical that when Agger's finally fit, the game will probably not go ahead.

He'll probably have stubbed a bollock by the time we play Wolves on the 29th.

I actually thought we were going to get through at least one article without a typical Royism, but it was sneakily hiding in there at the end.

Excellent that Gerrard & Agger are back fit, massive boost to have both back fully fit and in the first team. Now all we need is Aurelio fully fit and in the first team ahead of the Konch and suddenly our first 11 looks a hell of a lot better. Not too bothered if game is called off, gives them more time to ease back into it with the fixture clog coming up.

I'm quite happy if the blackpool game is off - another potential 3 points rescued.
                    Really?

Team new if game goes ahead:

lackpool are without captain Charlie Adam who picked up his fifth booking of the season at Stoke and serves a one-match ban. Matt Gilks, Chris Basham and Billy Clarke (all knee), Marlon Harewood (hamstring) and Louis Almond (shoulder) remain sidelined by injury.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will return from a six-week lay-off with a hamstring tear sustained on England duty. Centre-back Daniel Agger has also finally recovered from a complicated calf problem which has sidelined him since September 25.

                      ---------------

Charlie Adam is a massive loss for them.

Indeed. I hope this goes ahead even more so now.

Can someone give me a weather update please ?

What's the odds on this being played do you think?

Has Agger ever really been fit? Would love him to get an extended run in the side but it's never going to happen is it.

We can almost certainly guarantee the pitch will be playable but it is the prevailing conditions once the covers have been removed

I think it's gonna be ok - temperature is forecast to be comfortably above freezing. Pitch should be ok if it's 3 or 4 degrees.
