not taking sides, I am not sure what i think about the protests. Part of me thinks yeah that is great but then another part of me isnt so sure
the Houllier thing at the villa game is different as it was an ex manager in work coming to us with a team.
If Rafa had been coming with Inter or a team he was managing i dont think there would have been an argument.
this is slightly different in my opinion.
oh as long as its not a bodge flag day i dont think i am that bothered

Doesn't matter though, while pretty much all of us feel it was right for Ged to go, we still have respect for him. We sing for Dalglish too, was that wrong? If Rafa is in the crowd it is just valid to sing our appreciation of what he did for the club (and he did a hell of a lot).Originally posted by Joey Jones View PostThere's a difference, Houllier was there as an opposing manager.

tough one this, I'd certainly sing for Rafa if he was in the crowd as well but without a doubt there will be undertones as to why he's being sung for and Roy et al will know this as well.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostDoesn't matter though, while pretty much all of us feel it was right for Ged to go, we still have respect for him. Actually I'll be very surprised if he is there tonight, not sure the current regime will want this to happen as although Roy is ****ing useless and we all know this, they'll not want their current manager undermined (he does this all on his own of course!!) of course I could be completly wrong and they want this to happen!

I've got no problem with fans singing for ex managers or players alike.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostDoesn't matter though, while pretty much all of us feel it was right for Ged to go, we still have respect for him. The first post in this thread stated that the tribute was staged in order to get Rafa back as manager, that's the part I'm not keen on.

Can't see Roy walking regardless, he will stay until he is sacked IMO.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostIf Rafa is there tonight and it goes tits up for Roy with anything but a barnstorming performance by the lads then the chants will be loud and clear and he might be under an awful lot of pressure to walk.

I'd love Roy to feck off just as much as everyone else but he has dug his heels in and IMO has zero intention of quitting, results will tell and we'll see what NESV are really made of.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postas I said, pressure to walk - chins will have to removed from the premises I am afraid to say.
I have a bad feeling they'll give him time to bed new January signings in, we will limp on, few wins, few draws, few losses and it will just prolong the agony. But i can't see NESV giving in because the mob want, IMO they won't be influenced. If that was the case Roy woul dhave been gone ages ago. Anyways i hope they make the right decision and fast!
