Well it's not definite. And i'm going to sound like a pussy here, but i had a temperature this morning, all ****ing aching limbs and sleepy as ****.

If i go, i have to leave at about 7am and drive a total of about 460 miles.

Lots of fresh fruit (oranges), water, some Scandinavian dry bread kinda stuff, a soup wouldn't go amiss, all fresh, sleep early. Some fresh lemon and honey peppermint/camomile tea. Try your best, understanding if you can't make it. Is a mission.

        Unlucky Craig

        Just some thoughts.............

How the hell is Kenny going to effect the game tomorrow? He's not even been present for training today........... Does anyone really think he'll have any effect on formation and tactics tomorrow?

I'm afraid Man Utd away will be the last remnants of Hodgsons era, along with Blackpool, again, due to limited time.

I still expect to get tonked. Frustrating. Had he come in prior to Newscastle away we could be on 9 extra points and have a good chance of getting a result tomorrow. As it is, just relying on the uplifting factor.
        Forwards.......

I'll have to see how i am tonight. Will set my alarm for 6:30am, if i am able to get up and get into the bathroom without too much of a struggle, i'll probably go.

Proper pain in the nutsack though

Yeah, i agree. Dont think Kenny will even have the chance to put together even one proper training session with the players.

If we get a result, it'll be down to sheer positivity and 'feel good factor'.

I've frequently seen quotes from Nando about Kenny, he worships him Time to get out of the sulk and be the player he used to be for us.

Man the **** up you might catch a glimpse of woy in the VIP lounge waiting to have a glass of wine after the game with his mate

Get a couple of these inside you (see below) and a couple of paracetamol and you will be OK.

Hot water and Whisky blended 50/50, loads of honey and some fresh lemon squeezed in

I also don't think Utd are as good as they might think they are, but have no doubt they'll be up for doing us with The King at the helm. Thank God that old codger is gone.

Get someone to drive you. Maybe the missus (if you have one) give her a little spending money to go buy herself something during the game

Ferguson will be gutted that this only happened today - he's wasted 41p on a stamp, in sending Roy the list of tactics and lineup he should opt for.

I would imagine he'll tell them to push higher up the pitch and press more, that could make a major difference. The lineup doesn't need a major overhaul in terms of players changes.

Also having a new manager, and a club legend taking over should lift everyone

I'm fairly sure Kenny would have been on the phone to Sammy for a considerable period of time, to tell him what he wants and what he wants the team to focus on. I would also think he has called all the players who will be involved in the game to tell them how he wants them to play

                              Southgate's view on the game:

ITV pundit Gareth Southgate says it would be typical of Liverpool's season if their former striker Michael Owen were the man to knock them out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Nobody is certain who will be in charge of Liverpool when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, but I for one hope it will be Roy Hodgson.

It's incredible how this year has gone for the Liverpool manager. He took Fulham on the best run in their history, and was many people's tip for Manager of the Year - suddenly now he's on a terrible run with Liverpool.

Roy's had a lot of bad luck along the way though with injuries, sendings-off and missed penalties, but results have not been as expected. WTF?!??! He hardly had any injuries? Missed pens?

I just doubt that, with Sunday's FA Cup game against their biggest rivals looming large, a club like Liverpool would make such a momentous change at such a key time.

The problem for Roy, if he remains in charge for the trip to Old Trafford, is an inability to shuffle his pack.

Defensively Liverpool look frail, but with Jamie Carragher still out injured there aren't many other options to bring in and tighten things up.

Meanwhile Fernando Torres continues to struggle. His goal record was better than a goal every two games in his first three seasons at Anfield - this year it's less than a goal every three. That's having a big impact, but it's hard to see how to get Torres scoring again. Well now Kenny's in charge he might get more than a half chance every two games. Also our midfield wont be about 30 yards behind him.

In certain circumstances an FA Cup tie can be a welcome break from the pressures of a league campaign. In my three years as Middlesbrough manager we reached three quarter-finals, and it gave us a real boost.

I actually felt that the extra games helped our league form, rather than hindered it. In our relegation year of 2008-09, the week before our quarter-final against West Ham we beat Liverpool 2-0 at home, so there is some benefit to a Cup run even if you're struggling for results and confidence.

As for United, they're not playing brilliantly themselves, but top of the Premier League and unbeaten means that on form you can only really see one winner on Sunday.

Sir Alex is prone to shuffling his pack, and up front he has some decisions to make, especially since Wayne Rooney may not be fully fit. Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez have both been in excellent form and are more than capable of a good performance.

But the United manager likes to rotate his squad to try and keep his players happy, and this might an opportunity to bring in a few fringe members of the first team squad. Specifically, Michael Owen might be given his chance up front against his boyhood club.

Wouldn't it be typical of the rut Liverpool are in for Owen to come back to haunt them on Sunday?

Can't stop smiling! Not expecting anything from the game, I'm just looking forward to seeing King Kenny in the dugout again
