LONDON (AP) -Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has become the first footballer to be charged with improper conduct by the Football Association over a Twitter posting.
Babel was charged Monday after posting a digitally altered picture of referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt after his team's FA Cup loss.
Babel also wrote on Twitter: "And they call him one of the best referees. That's a joke.''
The FA says the improper conduct charge "relates to comments and images published by the player on Twitter concerning referee Howard Webb.''
Webb awarded a penalty against Liverpool and later sent off its captain Steven Gerrard as Man United won 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

What a ****ing disgrace. The FA are a bunch of miserable good-for-nothing *******s. I don't believe for a second that Howard Webb gave the penalty because he saw the incident clearly knowing it to be a foul or the fact that in one game GBH is a yellow card and in another a coming together of two players is a red. Investigate the inconsistency of refereeing decisions and the incompetence of referees, stop trying to quell free speech you self-righteous, self-serving bunch of odious ******s.

Kenny will surely have to stop tweeting now. How many working managers have a Twitter page?

No idea. As long as it wasn't racist or death threats then I'm sure it was completely justified!
