it was a bad tackle - when you leave the ground and jump in like that with two feet you're risking a red card and Gerrard obviously forgot that for a few seconds.

It was a moment of madness which we see from Gerrard every so often.
Ha ha, are you being serious?

You may just put me on ignore then mate as sometimes my potty mouth does get the better of me. I wouldn’t like to cause prolonged offence.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

That would be fine, if Rafael had even got a yellow - or even just given away a FREE KICK, for his similar tackle on Raul Meireles. Rafael came off the ground and lunged in with two feet. If the idiot ref had given a foul for it, the Gerrard one wouldnt have even happened.

Fair enough, but i think Gerrard lunged in you know. Whereas Rafael didn't.

It was reckless. Reckon Gerrard saw Rafael's challenge on Meireles and Meireles bottling it then just lost the plot for a few seconds.

Difference was that Gerrard went to ground and Rafael didnt.

But, within the context of the law, any situation where a player comes off the ground, with 2 feet, it is deemed that they are not in control of their body - and that is a straight dismissal.

Aside from anything else, the Rafael one was AT LEAST a freekick. And if that had been given, as i say, the Gerrard one would never have even happened.
