I thought we were energetic and much much better in the 2nd half, up until their goal which imo had a foul on Skrtel in the build-up. We were all over them for a good 10/15 mins away from home, which we've not even looked close to doing under Roy

That was awful, far too many players in the team aren't good enough. Skrtel, Johnson, Meireles, Kuyt, Jovanovic were very poor today. Poulsen had a decent first half and then when back to his usual self.

The defence looked shakey, Johnson at left back didn't work. The other thing that worried me is that Torres aside this team has no goals in it. I'd be suprised if aside from Torres and Kuyt any of the players in the starting 11 finish the season with 5 or more league goals.

Depressing result but a few positives to take from the game.

Johnson shouldnt play left back. Jovanovic shouldnt play football again - he's terrible (or just on incredibly bad form), Dirk and Raul were absolute muck again too.

We'll get better, it's been an improvement but I feel we lost our control second half. It's got to be said, we hardly played high tempo football under Hodgson, the players are going to take some time to get this back. It's encouraging, Nando is looking hungrier and the service to him, for the parts we were on top was encouraging. We were feeding him into the channels, the way he likes them.

It's obvious what Blackpool do in training - play football day after day after day after day, so passing to team mates becomes second nature, and it's obvious that we don't play enough.

Well played Blackpool, thoroughly deserved victory and double over the great Liverpool.

Now to our lot, well, quite simply we are a shambles!

I swear too much when typing but sorry - what a shower of useless ****s we have in this Liverpool squad. Lucas was the only one that gave it everything, Torres looked up for it and Poulsen wasn't too bad, the rest of the outfield players however we're a ****ing disgrace.Again.

I can't help but think Kenny picked that team knowing it would be **** and slow against a pacey, exciting and full of life Blackpool side in order to lower the expectations amongst the Liverpool fans since his return.

Blackpools 1st team had the weekend off to be fair

Load of ****e that 2nd half. First half we looked really good, unfortunately we were playing with 8 n half men, Kuyt not doing well, got closed down a lot, poor first touch, Meireles did NOTHING, all game, shockingly poor, he didn't tackle, lost the ball, passes astray, Poulson actually kept a half-decent lid on as DM, Lucas played very well, he's getting much better, growing up fast, bossing around, Johnson making lots of mistakes, mentally not prepared or confident atm, but **** me how ****ing useless is Jovanovic. Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

Torres played like a champion, unbelievable. Unfortunately, he needs better service. 'Had that volley gone in', he's definitely getting there. Reina much improved, doing very well. That's about it.

I think what's important now is to get rid of sub-standard first team players, 2-3 new ones needed, just some who can pass the ****ing ball, can cross and want to play for the shirt. S'bout it.

We definitely need some fresh blood in the Jan window, otherwise the lot we have might not get any sort of confidence and that would be that. ****ed.

We cannot just say the players are crap as an excuse. It was all Roy, now it's all the player; we'll look daft if we follow that line.

Kenny needs to do more than send a team out and hope for the best. The players we looked to make chances are second rate, simple as. It was obvious that Jova was doing nothing but Kenny did nothing for 80 mins. Poor show really. BUT, he does need time and new signings and I am sure we'll find a decent level.

It's mainly the disappointment of not going on a fairytale run of wins when Kenny comes back to save us, it does feel anti-climatic. Unreasonable to expect miracles though. Unfortunately, it shouldn't take miracles to challenge against Blackpool.
