Negatives, Johnson cannot be allowed to play full back he simply isnt one, caught out at the back post yet again and hes been guilty of leaving his man like that all ****ing season. Free headers 6 yards out are totally unacceptable.
The whole back four needs sorting out as we looked at all at sea whenever they run at us, Carragher is being badly missed.

Rome wasnt built in a day and all that bollox, Kennys had 5 days and i think its shown in his 2 games that he'll make us better, as for tonight if anyone thought we would hammer Blackpool is unrealistic, they are a good side and play some great football.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I don’t, but its fairy obvious that we won’t go out and sign 4 players on more than 100k a week a piece.

With everything that’s been written about the owners business model and the fact they see January as a “hard market” can you see all these superstars knocking on our door not wanting as much as the top players at other clubs?

You went off half-cocked, with all this "it's a disgrace" stuff. But what is a disgrace? The poor performances were just that, poor performances. Not 'a disgrace', as you controversially like to bellow

I know mate, Kenny has come int a stinker, line ups like that though will not do us any favours. I know Comolli keeps saying he's not sure about the January widow, seriously we need some quality, and quick smart.

Also about 5 or 6 players could be sold from that squad between now and the summer:

          Jovo
          Poulsen
          Konch
Skrtel(i now you like him but he's very average IMO,squad player at best)
          Johnson
          Kuyt

We seriously need to sell some of the ****e in our squad. But Kenny was at fault tonight IMO.
The selection was strange, I agree, but we were far more adventurous, Poulsen was even marauding forward two or three times and we were pressing much higher. No way it was a negative performance.

Maybe that was our downfall as I think we couldn't sustain it second half and as soon as Blackpool upped the tempo we were all over the place.

It's going to take time but I can see improvements.
            Are we winning?

Kuyt and jova, yes. They are strikers making it a starting lineup with 3 strikers.

Squad could have been used better over the past few games, I would say tired more than unfit? Babel for example should have been used more. Then again, they are supposed to be professional players.

Wolves at home was a disgrace. Tonight was poor.

Liverpool will always attract players, then there's Kenny. We aren't doing well at the moment but with the right management and strategy, we'll be there. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem we're going to buy our way to the top, it's going to take time and will need a lot of patience.

                        We don't run channels effectively.

We don't fill the box on crosses.

We don't have more than 1 option on the ball when we have it

We dont play effective diagonal balls

We don't offer anything from set pieces/corners

We don't tackle like we mean it.

We don't gamble on flick on etc..
Agree with all of the above points. Good post.

So either the players are **** and Benitez worked wonders and over-achieved with a **** team, or they're much better than they're showing and are just broken beyond repair.

Either way there is a rot in this squad that needs sorting out.
Not sure about that... from the team that got to 86 points the following have all gone:

                          Hyypia
                          Mascherano
                          Alonso
                          Riera
                          Benayoun
                          Arbeloa
Robbie Keane (for the first half of that season)

Then tonight we had Carragher and Gerrard out injured... that's nearly the first team from when we came second.

Kenny needs to do more than send a team out and hope for the best. The players we looked to make chances are second rate, simple as. It was obvious that Jova was doing nothing but Kenny did nothing for 80 mins. Poor show really. BUT, he does need time and new signings and I am sure we'll find a decent level.

It's mainly the disappointment of not going on a fairytale run of wins when Kenny comes back to save us, it does feel anti-climatic. Unreasonable to expect miracles though. Unfortunately, it shouldn't take miracles to challenge against Blackpool.
I think there are a few on here who have actually said that the players are not as good as they have been made out to be for quite some time but have been shot down in flames because some others took that as a slur on Rafa's name but the facts are (and I do realise that we are only 2 games into Kenny's rein and therefore he hasn't had chance to get his way of playing into the players heads yet) this group of players have not played for 3 managers now in the last one and a half years. It does not bode well for the rest of the season really. I mean in Rafa's last season people were claiming that half of our team would walk into Manure's, the Arse's, Chavs, Spurs, City's teams or at least they wouldn't swap them for their opposites number because they were so much better, which they clearly are not.

Sorry I seem to have just gone into a ramble and lost my thread completely.

And I disagree, I think we're unfit. No need for a tantrum over it.

They were a disgrace because the vast majority of the team didn't give a ****, once more. To many going through the motions.

Stop nitpicking, you know what i mean.
