Indeed you would, and we have. To suggest he has shown no signs that he can be a useful player for us, is myopic.Originally posted by Rudo View PostLOL you really are in denial when it comes to the squad dude aren't ya.
Yes a bit of settling in time is needed, fair enough, but at the same time you'd like to see some signs that eventually he'll be a useful player for us. With him i don't see it.

Raul actually looks like he's going backwards; initally he looked good playing centrally, then we had the nonsense of him playing (crap) on the wing, but recently his general play and decision making have been really poor.Originally posted by Rudo View PostRonaldo came to United at 18, Nani at a similar age and even in their first season's at United you could see the potential in flashes. Touches of magic here and there.
With Mehreles, you're talking about a 27 year old who has over 40 caps for Portugal to his name and lets be honest, aside from the odd nice pace and touch, he's offered sweet **** all to the team and at a cost of £11 million he's not proving to be value for money.
No goals, very few assists, no end product. No nothing really.

He's been **** the last two games, I'll give you that. But he's put in a few encouraging performances before that and clearly knows how to pass a ball.Originally posted by Rudo View PostLOL you really are in denial when it comes to the squad dude aren't ya.

He was injured before the United game. Perhaps he has been rushed back not fully fit?A humble guy with healthy desire.

A huge amount of work to do. We need to be careful we don't get sucked into a relegation battle. 3pts against the Bitters is essential now.
Could not agree more.

On my way back from the matchOriginally posted by NigelLG View PostI think we went out of puff in that second half, we couldn't carry on pressing. Old duffer's legacy, we aren't used to running.
Positives - pressed more, higher line and Torres
Negatives - team selection and the performances of Meireles, GlenJo, Skrtel and our passing in the final third
Thought Torres showed up today great effort from him
Agree with your comment about us running out of steam
I think Kenny needs some players though as I think he will struggle unless we freshen things upBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Heads dropped after their goal to be honestOriginally posted by wiw View PostAre you all topping yourselves then?
I thought we were energetic and much much better in the 2nd half, up until their goal which imo had a foul on Skrtel in the build-up. We were all over them for a good 10/15 mins away from home, which we've not even looked close to doing under Roy
One step at a time. Lots of positives for meBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Riera hugged the touchline, less so Kuyt. We need at least one be it right or left preferably left to actually hug the touchline.
When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use.

pull the other one mate. Everything is a battle or an argument with you. Nothing paranoid about it, just sick of reading the threads with your condescending argumentative knit picking ****e in it.

Funnily enough someone else mentioned our lack of fitness in gamesOriginally posted by Rich View PostDire stuff. We looked more offensive but some of our players were awful, and Johnson didn't look fit in the last 20 minutes..
But if you only have to sit on your penalty box and defend you dont really need to be fit do youBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
