Better than PFK and a loan signing as back up to Aurelio is fine. Although its either a chronic lack of ambition or there are just no decent left backa available at the moment.

Agreed, and I'm also with Drago on this - we're happy to take our own cast-offs back, despite not being good enough for either us, or them.

Kelly played left back when he was on loan at Huddersfield and did an excellent job (also played centre-back where he was equally aces), so perhaps for the next six months, Johnson at RB, Kelly at LB and address it in the summer when other options might be available (Coentrao and Taiwo) and then we don't look so desperate.

I reckon his positional play has improved

Hes certainly better than PFK anyway

Anyway I can find out whether this is true or not as I know a couple of people who know / are related to Warnock (might be able to find out today but if not should find out Monday)

He still lives in Aughton I believe and I think this is why hes had the falling out with Houllier. I read an article recently that Houllier had asked all the players to move nearer which is I think the reason Sidwell left and Warnock has been pushed out
