All is Not Well in the Camp

Just heard an editor/sports editor of a sunday rag on Radio 5 say they are running a story tomorrow about a "bust up/disagreement" between Rafa & SG, manager & captain headline style, which happened last week at OT about where SG would like to be played, and where the manager plays him etc, again, and that SG is fed up being punted on the RW over his preferred position of CM/forward.

its clear there is an issue. I do however think the media are making it more than it is. They love to cover a Gerrard story, especially if it puts a spanner in the works.

The attention has switched to Rafa. we will see a media campaign targeting Rafa for a few months, the Gerrard story is merely a starter along with the director's comment yesterday.

I totally agree, and London Press etc love to put the boot into us more than most, for some reason.

I'm just passing on a heads up, and again, could account for some of the body language of SG last week, coupled with family issues of course, maybe someone should have banged heads and just sent SG home as being ill rather than waste all our time, if the capt can't get his act together (not that I'm criticising, there are occasions when you do more harm in being there than not being there) prior to a scum game, maybe it was transmitted to the whole team just prior to kick off?

I'll think you'll find that it's more about his personal life from what I hear. It'll be NOTW, something along the lines of "Stevie's Hell" - his bird messing him around etc. and then mixed in with that the fact that he's pissed off about playing on the right. All supposition, but pads the story out.

This will of course be a build up to "Stevie wants Out" que Gerrard to Chavski stories I should imagine.
