Right...that'll be £26 each

I'm well aware of it, but the point you (hopefully deliberately) missed was the press had a field day about Man Utd, as they did with the Keane saga.Originally posted by kurtangle01The story was never about Beckham playing on the right but that Fergiscum hit him in the face with a boot.
So you're above statement was factually incorrect.

I'm sure Ronaldinho would prefer to play in a central position as well but he plays where Rijkaard tells him which is out on the wings and coming in to the centre of the park and basically having a free role. That is the role that Stevie has and it's where he has played his best football for us.
I wonder if he'll threaten to retire from international footie if Mclaren continues to play him on the right?!

Okay please point out to me when they have recently. We seem to go through this every season. Stevie's unhappy, pissed off on the right, wants to leave. Tell me when this has happened with, Rooney or Lampard etc...Originally posted by RoscoYou said there's no chance of the media slating Chelsea and United. It happens regularly.
The fact of the matter is that if we had won most of our games so far this season, like we did last, and Stevie had bagged at leats a goal then the press wouldn't be talking about this.
The only time they have disrupting stories abot the scum or the chavs is when they have something to go on.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

So they don't have anything to go on here ? I suggest you read Stevie's book. It's quite obvious him and Rafa aren't mates. Take a look at the United game last week, Stevie wasn't interested in playing until he was put in the middle in the second half.Originally posted by kurtangle01Okay please point out to me when they have recently. It's not too long ago that every paper was reporting Lampard would be off to Barca. Drogba was off during the summer too according to a lot of papers.

I haven't read Stevies book so I can't comment on that but it doesn't matter a jot if him and Rafa are mates or not. I'm not mates with my boss. I don't even like him but as a proffesional I do my job to the best of my ability. I'm not paid to be his mate just like Stevie isn't paid to be Rafas mate.Originally posted by RoscoSo they don't have anything to go on here ? I suggest you read Stevie's book. If you're suggesting that Stevie wasn't "interested" last week due to playing on the right then I'd have to say that you're completely wrong. Why did he look so interested on the right today if that's the case?! The whole team played poorly last week and as a consequence his game also suffered.
The Lampard and Drogba stories were hardly to the extent of the Gerrard ones either were they. They were in the papers maybe 2-3 times at the most where as we've had to put up with stories like this for nearly 3 years. Go figure that one out.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

It makes a huge difference. Believe it or not, not everyone can be bothered to scour the internet looking for steven gerrard gossip. For most people this is new news. It's now turned from pop-bitch gossip to a concerted media campaign orchestrated by tabloid newspapers.

Just had a peek at the newsagents. Express back page saying bust up between gerrard and rafa. Gerrad has indicated via friends that he's not enjoying his club football, it then says Rafa is prepared to sell and will listen to offers.
NOTW - didn't read it but the headline was something like Rafa and Stevie bust-up.
