    Riise 7/10 (Injuries)

    Gerrard 10/10
    Alonso 9/10
    Momo 8/10 (Injuries)

After that its a mixture of everyone else.

Thus 3 positions are rotated whereas apart from injuries 8 positions in league games haven't been.

Don't forget Kuyt arrived later in the season, if you check his stats since he arrived you'll find he's a regular too.

That's comprehensively blown that story out the water then.

        Here We Go Again

Sunday People - so sick and tired of this

        MAD FOR HIM
EXCLUSIVE SPANISH GIANTS TARGET GERRARD Real plot £32Mraid
        By Steve Bates
STEVEN GERRARD will find a £32million European bolt-hole at Real Madrid this summer if his fragile relationship with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez reaches breaking point.

That was the word emerging from Spain last night with Madrid ready to part company with one English legend - David Beckham - and welcome another in Gerrard next summer.

I understand Madrid chief Fabio Capello is a huge fan of Gerrard and the Spanish giants are reported to be willing to pay the £32m it would cost topers uade Liverpool to part with the Kop king. Gerrard revealed after the disappointment of the World Cup how he hoped Liverpool would finally end 16 years of misery by lifting the Premiership title for the first time since 1990 this season.

But after a poor start they are in turmoil with dissent in the boardroom being compounded by fan anger and frustration to give Benitez his first full-blown crisis since taking over from Gerrard Houllier.

Last night Benitez insisted Gerrard was happy despite being played on the wide right of midfield and he doesn't want to sell his inspirational skipper - who feels he's wasted in an isolated role.

But senior members of Liverpool's hierarchy are concerned a substantial bid from Madrid for the Anfield skipper is in the pipeline - and this time the 26-year-old England star will go.

He knows his only realistic escape from Anfield next summer is to Spain to either Madrid or Barcelona.

Chelsea no longer need him, while Arsenal couldn't afford his fee or £120,000-a-week wages and he wouldn't go to Manchester United.

He won't leave. This is yet more hot air to try and boost their poor sales. There's not even things like "a friend close to Gerrard last night said" so I think we can safely say that it's bul****. Parry has nipped the "anonymous board member" story in the bud so they've had to write something else.

Thing is though, someones obviously spreading this crap around as it's in so many papers this morning, this has been purposely put out there by someone, and I'm willing to bet it's exactly the same place where the board rumour came from earlier in the week.

To be honest if everyone had been happy with our **** form this season from players to board would that have been right. The media will always play an angle and some moron connected with the club appears to have given them ammunition but all of the facts that have emerged seem perfectly sensible.

Gerrard rows with Benitez about his positioning in the team, when it appears not to be working and neither Momo or Alonso could really be justified as being picked above him in the middle on form. Would you really expect everyone to just accept the way things were? In the circumstances I would expect at the least a heated discussion. Quite why anyone thinks this is worth writing about is what gets me, especially when they print it the day after we show our most determined, classy performance of the season.

Doesn't surprise me. There is a board meeting on Thursday where Moores will be able to deal with the situation according to yesterdays footy Echo. Perhaps Mr. White will be ousted soon after.

If and its a big IF Kenny Dalgleish is involved in any of the consortia (hee hee big word ) then Noel White's position on the board would be untenable anyway
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Don't know much about the board is there a website or anything with info on each of them, you never seem to hear about any of them in the echo or on the website or anything.

It should be untenable either way.
