Going into semantics here But post/bar is considered 'off target' - which i understand, but also always found a bit odd. Considering the 'target' is the goal and the posts/bar are a part of the goal, surely hitting them is on target - because the goal is the target and you've hit part of the target

No it doesn't technically but it proves my point of being unlucky though

If I am not mistaken this year against Ajax he had 10 posts before he was sold.

He is the natural goalscorer and has been his entire life and if he continues to attack and work as he has done so far, the goals will come.

Surely the target is inside the goal, the frame is just there to guide you? You can't say it's on target if you don't score (unless it's saved ha ha), that makes no sense.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

So really, shouldn't we send this to Chelsea to see if this discussion will help Torres find the net again?

I think Suarez & Carroll will be 1 in 3 men. Which is fine.

Then as long as Dirk/Young/whoever chips in with a 1 in 4 rate we'll be sorted.

Stevie and Miereles will score their fair share. Lucas never scores.

There's five players who will score very regualarly.

dont the posts and crossbar "frame the goal" so are not part of it as such.

a bit like a frame is not part of a picture inside it.

14 - Luis Suarez has created 14 scoring chances for team-mates in the Premier League since he arrived at Liverpool. Sweet.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Btw, who got the assist for his goal post strike against City, was it Kuyt? That pass was absolutely fantastic!

What do you mean assist? He didn't score.

                            The pass came from Carroll.

um. i could be wrong, but there is only one assist in that game, and it's from meireles on the header, right? the other two were deflections that fell kindly for the scorer. i think.
