Considering the 'target' is the goal and the posts/bar are a part of the goal, surely hitting them is on target - because the goal is the target and you've hit part of the target

3 posts doesnt count for anything though I'm not having a pop, i love the guy. One more goal (which he could easily have had) and there's be no issue. As i said, 1 in 2 would be fecking awesome and having still not fully settled, adjusted and had a preseason, he's right on the cusp of that, so it's all good.

No it doesn't technically but it proves my point of being unlucky though

If I am not mistaken this year against Ajax he had 10 posts before he was sold.

He is the natural goalscorer and has been his entire life and if he continues to attack and work as he has done so far, the goals will come.

Surely the target is inside the goal, the frame is just there to guide you? You can't say it's on target if you don't score (unless it's saved ha ha), that makes no sense.

I think Suarez & Carroll will be 1 in 3 men. Which is fine.

Then as long as Dirk/Young/whoever chips in with a 1 in 4 rate we'll be sorted.

Stevie and Miereles will score their fair share. Lucas never scores.

dont the posts and crossbar "frame the goal" so are not part of it as such.

a bit like a frame is not part of a picture inside it.

um. i could be wrong, but there is only one assist in that game, and it's from meireles on the header, right? the other two were deflections that fell kindly for the scorer. i think.
