    I Hate Football

Today has seen another nail in the coffin of my love for this game.

This £100M merry-go-round is just so far removed from reality for the rest of us.

I am still addicted of course, but I resent my addiction more with every passing season.
    Oh I don't know.

this window is really pushing me in the same direction. feels terrible to think about all this money, and the caliber of players we're getting in for it.

I fell out of love with football a long time ago
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I fell out of love for the sport some years ago, it has become an ugly money-machine.

Still enjoy watching the game on the pitch, and still support Liverpool, but the game as such has become very uninteresting with all the money flowing around.

I woke up today after months of avoiding the misery of this site (not that you're all miserable, more that LFC was making me miserable) to a brand new team. Holy ****, what the **** happened? Glad the owners are willing to spend, but these targets have a lot to prove in my mind. I'd rather have Kun Aguero than Carroll and Adam, but most of all, we need width!
Money is the state of the game; doesn't bother me to keep up with it! If we're in the game, we have to compete. Is it gross that its all about money? Yes, but what has the Academy produced recently? Maybe Suso will come good, but in the meantime, we have to spend to compete. I'm just hoping they spent right; I like Suarez, Carroll is young and good, but hmmm... I'm ready to be made a believer.

Not sure in the long term but today does feel deflating, bordering on depressing to me.

Well it's a lot better then us selling our best players and not replacing them.

thing is there isnt as much money going round as sky say.

that 50 that we get from chelsea is funding three trasfers and that will fund others etc etc

however it is disgusting, but it is what fans want. we cant have it both ways

The money's obscene but it has been for ages.

Today it's the sentiments being expressed by some fans that's really making me vomit.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It should be some sort of tax on every transfer for clubs in the PL, say 10%-15%, and all that money would go to charity.

Then you at least would be happy when the big transfers happen because a part of the money would go to people that really need it.
