I am still addicted of course, but I resent my addiction more with every passing season.

Today it's the sentiments being expressed by some fans that's really making me vomit.

We really loved him, and after losing Masher and Xabi in similar circumstances, it's impossible to trust players nowadays. I know the majority of this s still the old Yanks' fault, but it's still ****ing depressing. Noone has lit up Anfield like that since Robbie.

      Torres OUT = £50m

      Suarez IN = £23m
      Carroll IN = £35m

      Total IN = £50m
      Total OUT = £58m
      Net = £8m

Compare this to Chelsea, this is more sensible spending. But yes, the money in football these days is crazy but hey, it's directly derived from the behaviour of us fans and the laws of the markets.
We got some cash for Babel as well, £5,8M or something like that.

        Yep, forgot about Babel.
        Are we winning?

My disillusionment occurred many years ago for a while footy was almost completely off my radar - I checked the results of course but felt nothing really, win lose or draw. This after being a red from birth and going to hundreds of matches at Anfield and further afield. For a while I practically lived on night trains at weekends.

Tickets (train and match) were affordable and I could still get pissed pissed as a fart and buy lots of dodgy takeaways.

But like you I enjoy watching the game on the pitch, and will always support Liverpool.

My heart is rarely in it these days simply because for the most part it's all about money, money, money.

I sometimes wish I was born supporting a nothing team that played with passion for the club rather than what most top teams are these days - a bunch of conniving, deceitful, nancy boy prima-donna mercenaries whose only loyalty is to their obscene salaries and misplaced belief that they are important.

I'd love to see a worldwide cap on transfer fees

I'd love to see a worldwide cap on players salaries (what would they do - give it up and become brain surgeons?)

I'd love it if refs had the same powers as Rugby refs - stop all the wrestling in the penalty box or you're off - talk back to me and you're off.

          Blah blah blah

          Rant over
