              sorry, the tax would be brilliant, not the current government.

                  for a country with crumbling infrastructure, and a world that can't feed everybody, a tax on this flagrant waste of money (which let's not kid ourselves, this isn't necessary at all), would be a great thing.

                    Me too. Absolute cocks. We're gonna be much better off after this, partly because of the money we've made off Torres. I for one will only wish him well. It was a privelege to watch him in a Liverpool shirt - and when he was at his best. A genuine World Class player, and he played for us. Millions of football fans would love to be able to say that about just one player in their lifetime. Weve had loads.

                      I love football again. At least this window was exciting Kenny is back, firing and shaping his team.

                        i am quite happy with the window compared to when torres handed in a transfer request.

                          Despot owners, spoilt, vain players and stupidly inflated transfers all make it very hard to love. Was trying to look on Torres leaving as some sort of catharsis last night, but after me and the missus were both plagued by stupid dreams about his goals for us, I'm just really sad.

                          We really loved him, and after losing Masher and Xabi in similar circumstances, it's impossible to trust players nowadays. I know the majority of this s still the old Yanks' fault, but it's still ****ing depressing. Noone has lit up Anfield like that since Robbie.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                            Really excited about our signings and glad to see the back of sulky Torres. Exciting that we tried to get Young, Richards and the fat boy from Blackpool. Should be interesting this summer. Happy days

                              We didn't do too badly in the transfer market though.

                              Torres OUT = £50m

                              Suarez IN = £23m
                              Carroll IN = £35m

                              Total IN = £50m
                              Total OUT = £58m
                              Net = £8m

                              Compare this to Chelsea, this is more sensible spending. But yes, the money in football these days is crazy but hey, it's directly derived from the behaviour of us fans and the laws of the markets.
                              Are we winning?

                                It's fuelled by us fans buying into it.
