I know we're all so excited and wrapped up in stories of behind the scenes unrest, skipper's personal life crisis and Rafa forcing out his captain, and yes, it's all very exciting, but we've got the inconvenience of a match this Tuesday night, so i suppose we should undertake the chore of discussing it....

A win will see us safely into the knockout stages of the CL and we're all basically expecting a fairly comfortable 3 points, i would assume.

Virtually picks itself, or do people have other variations that they'd suggest?

I thought about the possibility of 'resting' people, but next up is Reading at home and we should be able to beat them, even allowing for a bit of rotation. So that's when i'd rest a couple. Only 2 or 3 mind.

Obviously Rafa wont pick that side, as there'd be no changes, but that's what i'd go for.

Personally I feel Pennant or Gonzalez might get a game with Crouch and Sissoko being rested.

I'd go with your team, but I expect at least alonso or gerrard to be rested - especially after the knocks and cramp that they respectively received. Zenden will play tuesday, is bellamy fit? If so he'll get a run-out with gonzales. Agger to play in defense.

That's the thing, i suppose it'd be sensible to rest Xabi or Gerrard...Pennant could come in on the right.

And yes, Agger is due a game, as is Gonzo.

There will obviously be a couple of changes. I would like Rafa to use the same starting lineup as on Saturday but I just can't see it.

By the way, do you remember me telling you that this group would be a walkover back on KT??

According to SSn today both Stevie and Momo are doubtful because of ankle injuries

I think that there will be changes to yesterdays team but they will be minimal IMHO. Agger for Hyypia or Carra, Aurelio for Riise and Zenden for either Xabi or Stevie.

It might sound arrogant, but let's be honest, Bordeaux are utter ****e.

I hope and expect Agger to play, Stevie to be rested and maybe even Pennant to start.

Hopefully Sissoko will be fine, if not will have to be friggin Zenden (we badly need a 4th center mid.
Gonzalez to come in on the left, my altrnative would be Riise on the left with Warnock at left back.
Fowler to get a game, don't see any reason why we give him the midweek games, particularly at this stage.
Bellamy if fit to partner Fowler, if not take ur pick from Crouch and Kuyt.

Really shouldn't be a difficult game but we can't take them for granted, take the game to them in the first half, and close it out in the second.

Rafa's getting a new pro-zone laptop with that new centrino dual core processor thingy, just so he can multiply his possibilities!

So imagine the shock when he names an unchanged team! yeh right, and pigs might fly etc.

Picking a team is like picking the lottery numbers, lots of theories & possibles, but only 1 winner on the night.

As for the team on Tues, yup, I'd be quite happy with an unchanged line-up, I doubt it will be that way though.

We must be due a 4-0 clouting of someone, so Tues night will do me!

Cant see it, i'd play Pepe again anyway, he was very good yesterday and its hopefully going to be a clean sheet on Tuesday.

Might play Dudek when we go back to the Attaturk, providing we've allready beaten Bordeaux and PSV to wrap up top qualification in the group.

That'd be a nice gesture, especially if we don't have anything at stake, maybe even throw a few kids in, if we can.
