I could man up enough to get extremly drunk at the local, shout abuse at the telly and tell all the plastics to fu*k off regardless of the result, but I'm not sure if even that would be possible to cope with

The match is on early Monday morning here so when we loose it's not a good day at work. A big match like this is better after I know the score.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Sorry, but it's more important than just being a match and the entertainment value is zero. By that I mean that it's just going to be horrible to watch and 90 minutes of something I would like to end as quickly as possible. The torment of it is closer to max. So, it's a miss for me, for the first time in ages...

Maybe come sunday I've changed my mind, but I can't see how I'm supposed to be able to watch it....
Each to their own fella, you do what you want but i don't see this as a real nerve-wrecking occasion.

If we were up their challenging for the league, or even top 4(i know we're not 100% out of the latter but we're rank outsiders) then it would become alot more tense and therefore harder to watch.

Suppose with him playing for them now there's a bit more spice to it but most ppl expect a Chelsea win simply because they have that bit more quality than us.
        - All the pressure is on Chelsea.

Yeah but if they do win, there gonna run over to Torres and carry on and it will be very difficult to contain the frustration IMO.

They prob will man but **** them, seriously **** them.
Don't get me wrong i'm desperate the Reds put up a good fight and come away with a result but if we end up losing it's not the end of the world.

The only thing i'll find frustrating and will be gutted about will be if we crumble and dont put in a commited performance.

I really can't see that happening with the King in control. I mean I really can't see it happening. I think the lads have too much respect for Kenny to allow that to happen. The only thing that worries me is if the Ref looses the plot and gets sucked in by the plastic flag brigade.

OK, maybe not Nelson Mandela. But pretty much everyone else, one way or another.
                meh, neil. meh.

nelson mandela is a lovely man, and did a lot for his fellow black african bretheren, but to suggest that he never did it out of self interest is preposterous. he did what he did, because even though he was incarcerated for years, estranged from his wife and had to deal with threats and horrible unfounded criticism, he knew that someday he would succeed, and probably win the nobel prize. do you know what the nobel prize gets you, neil? well i'll tell you.

the nobel peace prize comes with free drop off and pick up laundry service for life. mandela knew that no matter where he lived out his old age, be it in prison, in the houses of state in south africa, or as an exiled statesman elsewhere in the world, he would do so in clean sheets, and clothes that smelt fresh as a summer's day. you may not believe me out of some misguided principle. but it's true goddammit, and the sooner you recognize this, the sooner you can stop living in that middle-aged daydream in which men like nelson mandela do not act on their own self interests.

Can't say I've used the service myself nor am I in a hurry to prove you wrong. I'll just go with you on this one time OK.

                        I did say maybe.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It'll be interesting to see how Kenny handles the Carra thing. We've kept three clean sheets on the trot so it's a big call if he's fit and available.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'd be inclined to think that the Stoke game was a dress rehersal for tomorrow.

Now whether Carra fits into that back 3, I guess that'll depend on what's happened this week in training.
