    Why?

It's not like he's a rookie or a kid. If his injury is 100% recovered, what's the problem?

I disagree, I think he'd relish the chance to take him on.

Oh yeah, he'll **** it being up against a washed up centre back who has no pace. Just like he ****s it whenever he plays against a peak Nemanja Vidic.

While I agree, carra has so much experience if he can't see Nando's moves, no-one will.

In theory, if we were the same kinda defence under Hyypia, we would deploy the offside trap for tomorrow's(todays even) game.

A little thing called match sharpness. He's been out 2 months give or take. He won't be as sharp as someone who's been playing week in week out IMO.

Plus the defense has been playing OK lately and if Kenny puts Carra straight back in it could be seen as a vote of no confidence from Kenny from the other defenders. Carra's form has been hit and miss this year and he doesn't deserve to just walk straight back into the side. He must earn it on the training ground first IMO.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I'm with SB on this with regards to match sharpness.

If Carragher had started against Stoke - fair enough, but we don't want Carragher looking a little rusty and getting caught on his heels. I think Carragher would give Torres a kick ... if he can catch him.

Whilst our defence has been sound over the last three games, it's down to poor-finishing from our opponents and Reina. Skrtel still looks a liability.

I'd rather we stick with Skrtel.
                          Are we winning?

As much as I agree, he did show more promise against Stoke, looked surprisingly composed at the back and comfortable bringing the ball forward. I do agree that we should have conceded against Fulham and Wigan though.

Really looking forward to the match though. Have a feeling we might nick something, but providing we don't get stuffed, win, lose or draw, positives can be taken from the result.

Will be interesting to see what formation Kenny goes for and am just as intrigued to see how Ancelotti will fit Torres, Drogba and Anelka into their team. I think this might actually be a good time to play Chelsea.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Tough one, heart says Carragher will be like a man on a mission at the back, hurling himself at everything, head says we need more composure at the back and Skrtle and Agger have been improving game by game......

aarrgh sod it throw Carragher in

I think Soto could do better than Carragher though, as Chelsea have got big and strong players. Drogba's fabulous in the air and having an aggressive defender like Soto would help IMO.
