Either the author does not understand the nature of how we support Liverpool, or he has deliberately chosen to twist it to suit his agenda. It exposes the author as to what kind of person he is; he's either ignorant or vindictive.

He has also failed to understand the Torres affair. It's not that he's left us. It's the manner in which he has left us (last minute in the transfer window) and then turning round after he's gone and saying what he has said. Plenty of players have chosen to leave us, some of them for greener grass and they have still maintained a good relationship with us. Prime example is Xabi Alonso.

Either way my only problem with this article is that some people out there will believe it without really stopping to consider it properly, which is ironic because that's exactly what it's accusing us of doing.
No! I am NOT in denial!

My dog has just learned to how to bark. It makes him feel like a bigger dog and he gets attention from doing it.

Now when he wants to get attention and feel big, he barks and barks.

              Woof!

I actually enjoyed that pathetic, jealous little childish chelsea rant. Even gary c**ting neville could teach that no mark club's supporters a thing or two about sporting achievement, built over many decades. So, according to this gormless chav **** all sport should be recalibrated annually? Maybe we should hand out trophies every weekend so we dont have to keep scores all the time and remember who wins what? This is even worse than those manc planks who ask 'yeah but how many PREMIER league titles have you won??'

As for the religious thing - DUHHHH! Of course its a quasi-religious experience and thankfully this poor cockend will never get to heaven.

Aye, that particular "Pablo" is about as plastic as the Chavs' "support."
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Us Pablos are traditionally a varied bunch. Some of us are adventurous and cless (myself, Escobar, Aimar, Picasso) others are cocks.

Even Pablos themselves know what the score is.

I thought there was a little truth in the article and I enjoyed reading it, but obviously there was a lot of tosh in it as well.

A few things come to mind - the first is that the reader has clearly missed the point about history - it is a function of pride. The more pride you have in your history, the more history will be important. It is also pride which keeps LFC fans together, mostly, as a unit. I have nothing against the fans of Crewe for instance, but I don't see how pride would be more of a feature for them.

The other thing that struck me was the veiled references to Hillsborough and Heysel. I don't see anything wrong with continuing to feel remorse for the Hillsborough dead - their families and friends are still alive, still miss the victims and we share their remorse because that's what friends do. I wouldn't object to Bradford fans doing the same, perhaps they do - or even Man Utd fans for that matter.

As for Heysel, it is unfortunate for us that memories of that event focus only on the behaviour of the fans, but not on the poor standards of the stadium and the organisation around it, or on UEFA's role in selecting it and the fact that their selection methods don't seem to have improved much. But as a club and fans I don't think we've ever ignored our complicity in the event. At the anniversary, the club web site features it, and of course against Juventus in the cup we made a huge effort to demonstrate our regret. It's true the fans don't talk about it much. It would be somewhat perverse, afterall foot ball is about celebrating and there is nothing to celebrate about that event. I do think as well that many fans have taken on board the messages about it - we all know that our behaviour is watched carefully by the press when we are abroad. I would though, like to see the club do a little more to mark the event.
                            Really?

                                It's risible.

I don't agree with his explanation, but it is nice that he's noticed that we are unique and different to all other supporters. Quite flattering really.
