    Met a L'pool Legend tonight -I played sh1t

Was in Knightsbridge, London (fancy spot, just there because I know someone I grew up with who works in a 5 star hotel there) tonight. Saw my mate outside the pub having a cig as I arrived. You could bring your pints outside so I stayed there. Next thing he says "Do you recognise the guy at the bar (thorugh the window)?" Bruce Grobelaar! I sh1t myself. Walked in to get a round 5 mins later, very nervous (sober), and asked him was he Bruce. He said he was. I shook his hand and that was it. Wish I was in the state I am in now as would have asked him so much more. Didn't even get a photo of him with me and had to pay £5 for him to confirm he was BG Gutted though

Anyone else met a player and, if so, how was it???

Was reading an interview with Ian Rush the other day who said that Bruce had this superstition where before a match, he wouldn't let the team leave the dressing room until he turned the lights off by kicking a ball at the switch.

Yes Kenny mentions that in his book , he elaborates on the time they played Wimbledon at plough lane and goulding (i think) taped up the light switches in the away dressing room but when the lads came out to play he looked startled , apparently Bruce only did it at Home matches , top bloke

Met Souness in Heathrow lounge when he was boss, must have been about 1992. I was about 14 at the time, had been over running at Crystal Palace. Went up to him with a mate. He chatted for about 10 mins, showed real interest, so instantly became a legend!

Pity he ****ed us up for 20 years...

I met John Barnes when I was on holiday in Crete one summer about 5 years ago

He was my favorite player, and he chatted to me for about 10 minuites. I didnt get a photo, as I felt odd asking. Really nice guy, he just needs to slow down the rate he talks

I met Aldridge on my stag in Portugal back in 2006. He was staying in the same place as we were. Had a drink with him and spoke for about 10 mins. He was dead sound. Sound as a pound! Although he did tell me that Mark Gonzalez was going to be a great buy!

Got my photo taking with him too. The best man had that projected on the wall behind us during the wedding speeches.

                      Top bloke.

had photos taken when I was a kid with Ian St John, Ian Rush, King Kenny and Alan Hansen.

used to be a ball boy in a 5 - A-Side football tournament that they came along to and did the presentations for, Paul Parker also turned up but less said about that the better!
