And i'm not slagging off the owners here, i'm really not. I think they made a mistake and i've said that before, i still think they did. But i'm not slagging them off for it, it wasnt done with malice and mistakes happen.

I'm just frustrated at what might have been, if it had been done differently. But it's in the past, the future looks good, so onwards

IMO they were just on the end of some very bad advice. That and if Kenny hadn't of worked out they may have felt they'd have been in a difficult position when they let him go.

I just hope they see enough sense to keep him on. It's in the back of my mind they have someone lined up for the summer.

Under Dalglish and Clarke I can already identify the 9 games we have to and should win. The three remaining obviously are the two mancs and Arse. And no reason why we can't beat one of the manc teams at home either if we are going to go on such a glorious run.

The sooner Carroll gets back and Suarez starts regularly we have a good chance of keeping up our winning run. To catch Chelsea and Tottenham is another matter entirely, of course its possible but improbable id say.

Sunderland away is a ****ing hard game, they've only lost 2 home games this season, and it's never an easy trip.

I think Spurs will be shown up when the CL starts again. I'm pretty convinced we'll get into 5th at least. Whether we can catch chelsea will depend just as much on how they react to seeing their title bid die, and how they prioritise the CL, as much as how many of our last 12 games we can win.

This is why I haven't identified Spurs as one of our 'toughest' matches. Context being the state of the season, Bale injured no doubt, etc.

Same applies for Sunderland away, they may have a good record up to now but this is the business end when their lesser squad shouldn't be able to handle us. Specially minus Bent.

Edit: Roman has shown his priority in buying Torres. He doesn't want another league title. He wants THAT cup. Now!

I think it's in our own hands now. And we have shown by beating Chavs at the Bridge we can beat anyone. Think we are going to need Carroll and Suarez to come in and have good starts for us to have a chance though.

And what I will say above everything is this, there is no point beating Chelsea if we can't beat Wigan on Saturday. We've already had false dawns this season. This has to be the real deal right now. Because.........

Surely Bale will be fit by the time Spurs come to Anfield? That game is our 37th game of the season.

Theoretically, it could even be decided by then, one way or another.

As in we have confidence, and if we can go on a run we will get 4th. No chance four of the five teams above us will have a good run until the end of the season. At least two will fall away and limp home. If we can finish strong we will get 4th.

Massive ask, but we've got ourselves into a position where we can fight for 4th. Hence I said it's in our own hands now.

But we're 6 points behind Spurs and Chelsea and both have a game in hand. In no way, shape or form is it in our hands

He's saying that two teams above us will definitely slip away, so if we can finish strongly enough, then we WILL get 4th.

So if he is right about two of the teams above us slipping away, then it is in our hands.

On paper, exactly as things stand now, with no supposition about which other teams will do what, it's not in our hands.

Aye fair enough, Liverpool are defo the form team. Chelsea will go all out for the Champions League now and hopefully that will mean they're not at the races in some of the league games hence dropping more points.
Obv we'll need our friends from Manchester to do us a favour with them playing Chelsea twice.

As for Spurs, God knows what to expect from them - brilliant one week, fragile the next.

As it stands now, i'd say Chelsea are still strong favourites for 4th with Spurs after that, we're not 100% out of it but it's going to be really tough.
Might as well give it a good go while it's still possible

You obviously read what I said, but didn't understand what I was saying. Maybe I didn't explain it well enough. Read what Craig has to say.

I never said it is going to be easy, nor am I saying we will do it. I still think it is highly unlikely as we have to rely on two teams from five dropping more points than us. If we were needing just one team to crack I'd fancy our chances.

I think teams will drop points, I just still can't see us getting something like 28 -30 points from 36 points. But if we could that would be just about enough methinks.
