4th place is as good as gone, to many sides ahead of us, and good sides too.

It's strange that folk are suggesting we could finish 5th and yet 4th is out of reach. There's only goal difference between the 2, provided Chelsea win their game in hand. I'll be disappointed if we finish 5th as it'll mean we were a hairs breadth from 4th.
That said, I reckon we will finish 6th, 4 points below Chelsea and 6 below Spurs.

I agree with this. But i think, if Chelsea win tonight, then 5th will be beyond us too.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostIt's strange that folk are suggesting we could finish 5th and yet 4th is out of reach. The other point is, to finish 5th, we'd need one of two teams to **** up. For 4th, we'd need them to both **** up - people may feel that asking for them both to screw their chances, may be too big an ask.

Perhaps. Spurs have free-falling Blackpool away, then Wolves away before West Ham at home and then Wigan away. Could potentially get 12pts from that lot or equally just 4-5pts. Even if we will our next four we'll still be behind them based on their worst-case-scenario but we'll be closing. And I am expecting us to win our next 4 games, honestly.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI agree with this. But i think, if Chelsea win tonight, then 5th will be beyond us too.

As for Chelsea, if Fulham can come away with something tonight then I think they're ****ed with Utd due a win against them and draw specialists City both coming up soon.

That's the main point for me, the chances of one of them slipping up is realistic, the chances of them both doing so is much less likelyOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI agree with this. But i think, if Chelsea win tonight, then 5th will be beyond us too.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

ermm but wasnt wigan winnable?Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostAll is not lost, we still have an outside chance of finishing 4th.
Its a big ask but 9 wins out of our remaining 11 games would do it. All but 1 (Arsenal away), of our remaining games are realistically winnable, and i genuinley mean that.
just isnt so simple as that. whilst both chelski and spurs will drop points, so too will we.

Frenchie
could it be he was terrible last season because of all the obstacles in his way because of H & G? The jowly one was just pure **** trying to change pass and move to hoof ball overnight... Kenny has reverted to his brand of pass and move without obstacles..er apart from he whom shouldnt be named...

Except if we had last seasons record this season, we would be doing a damn site better and we would be right in amongst the teams in 4th. That is how much damage Roy did, weakened league and he managed to do much worse.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI'd say it also shows how terrible we were in Rafa's last season. Over to you Arn.
