It feels like everyone at the club is now moving in one direction. Fans, backroom and boardroom wanting that success badly as opposed to not very long ago where we had owners and managers (ala Hodge) all being driven by different agendas. I don't care that we didn't get some multi squillionaire with long pockets, I want these guys. There is a genuine affection for the club that is coming through in this interview. I can't believe how different this club is to: 1) one month ago, 2) three months ago, 3) 12 months ago.

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Such an impressive guy, the contrast between him and our previous owners just couldn't be greater. Comes over as extremely genuine and someone whose actions will speak much louder than his words. Very encouraging.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

It's also creditted with an upturn in the global economy.Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postkenny's third man running training (which has nothing to do with steve clarke's technique of the same name) is credited with an 11 point reduction is greenhouse emissions so far this year."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

So did H&G when they first arrived, we will see. We have had 1 transfer window where they spent jack ****, had long enough to spend but waited till we sold Babbel and the other striker whose name alludes me.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostCracking watch that, cheers dude.

Think you're being a bit harsh. Kenny made it clear he had money available, think it was more a case of not being able to find the right players at the right price. It was different with Caroll was we were forced to replaced what's his name so had to pay over the tops for himOriginally posted by kev776 View PostSo did H&G when they first arrived, we will see. we had bids rejected for adam, llorente and rumoured ashley young. thats anywhere from 45-60 million trying to be spent in january on top of what we did if you beleive the price tags (adam 6-7 mill, llorente buy out clause of 30 mill and ashley young 15-20 mill)Originally posted by powerpack View PostThink you're being a bit harsh. the money was there but nobody was willing to sell.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

No H&G didn't. They went about waving cash in the air talking about Snoogy Doogy, tried to blag us that they hadn't put any debt on the club, then started flirting with Jurgen Klinsmann.Originally posted by kev776 View PostSo did H&G when they first arrived, we will see. As for the transfer window, we were in negotiations for Suarez for a considerable length of time, well before Chelsea turned up tempting "he who shall not be named". Going back over the history of the Jan transfer window, very rarely do that many players move then, not do the big clubs tend to spend all that much money in it (this year's was the exception really). Traditionally that's because clubs don't want to sell mid season making it hard to get decent value.
At no point have FSG said they will spend ridiculous amounts of cash, and neither frankly do I want them to. LFC as a club needs to be run the right way, sustainably, with money spent at the right times on quality. H&G splashed the cash in their first season, primarily on xxxxxxx.... and then spent the next years recouping it through dismantling the club.

The only problem with FSG as I see it is that they didn't had a plan ready in case they ended up as our owner. They should have had a plan for what to do with Roy, the transfer window and the stadium from day one. That they didn't had that could end up costing us fourth place. It probably cost us Torres.
They didn't had time to sit down and learn about the club. They should have done that several months before they bought the club so they already knew what to do from day one. A new CEO should have been ready from day one.
They have still not decided what to do with the stadium for example. They only now have maybe a month or two to decide on that because we must start working on that this summer. They should have had a plan ready for that from day one.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

I would love that to be true, but i cant see what their objective is, if not to make money. Obviously they want us to win, and that's how they can make their money - but they arent LFC fans, so what is their emotional reasoning behind wanting us to win, if not that it'll make them money and lead to success?Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postwell the results certainly seemed to point to the fact that our football stank ass.
also, i'm assuming you are under no illusions that they aren't here to make money. pleasing thing is the only way they'll ever make any is if they decide to sell in the future. never in dividends.
I'm open-minded to hearing the answer to that - my view is my view, but it's not cast in stone, so i'm all ears.
