More or less what I was expecting, a few funny ones in there but on the whole I don't think it was too bad, obviously as rival fans they are more likely than us to put a negative spin on things than we are, so putting the current form down as a blip rather than the previous bad form is something that is inevitable IMO.

Obviously in their position they would like to think they are miles ahead of us (given the money they have spent), but ruling us out of contention next year is foolish IMO, but those doing that seem to be in a minority. Even we have to admit of us, Chelsea and Spurs we are the least likely to make top 4 this year as things stand. I've seen/heard much worse things from Man Utd, Everton and Spurs fans to be honest.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's it. My Spurs mate, who has also taken to looking down on LFC has been slaughtering him..."not fit to wear the shirt", "a sorry indication of where LFC are at" etc.

I stated his case and he just laughed. Pointed out to him that Soto is one of the most aerially dominant CBs in the league and he just dismissed it FFS.

We all know he's limited but you can only judge a player on what he does on the pitch in our shirt, and for the most part he's been very good.

Had to get that off my chest.
To be fair, I've heard similar things from our own fans, it's almost like they're not watching us play. Clearly he's not world class, but as 4th choice centre back, he's a brilliant option to have.

Whilst undoubtably true, I think that overall they come across as reasonable as any similar thread about another team on here would.

The point was more about how, for a team which hasnt won anything for the best part of half a century, they have such an elevated view of themselves, compared to others.

They're pretty intolerable in person. Totally delusional. Going to City to watch us play was always quite fun - I enjoyed their gallows humour. That's gone now though - their fans are a right pain in the arse, inexplicably cocky and very annoying.

Deluded cunts in that thread TBF, i think we have already had our honeymoon period with Kenny. The United, Blackpool and Everton games were the wake up calls as to what Kenny and Steve needed to do.

Most of the non-liverpool fans still think Lucas is ****e cause that is what sky told them 3 years ago.

The best and only answer will be to go back to winning ways to shut them up. Rafa almost did it against all odds. Same thing can happen with FSG and King. The set up seems to be perfect and at least we are not dependant on sugar daddy.

I haven't even clicked the link. And I've studiously avoided reading any quotes in posts on this thread.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
